The perfect USB controller!
I had originally ordered clear orange but was sent a red controller instead. However, thanks to KIWITATA's customer service, they made things right and sent me the remote I wanted. I, having been born some years after the N64, never actually had, seen, or even handled an original controller. And I can say for a fact that after using a Switch lite and Nintendo 2DS, this is the best control layout I've used. It's comfortable and ergonomic for my hands, even though I don't spend hours gaming in one session. I play my favorite N64 games on an Alienware Windows 11 laptop in a browser with save states (I use retrogames.cc to play). If you wish to do this yourself I suggest downloading AntiMicroX to map the controller to the website's specific keys. This will also grant you slow, medium, or fast (sensitive) movement on the joystick, as one can't do that on keyboard alone. Great responsiveness to every input. I like that it's simple and not so overly complicated as opposed to many modern controller alternatives. Also, more companies should bring back the transparent tech, it's much cooler than solid colors. The last image is the keyboard-to-controller map on AntiMicroX.

Nice controller, especially for the price
This controller is a little lighter than the OE controller but not by much. The action of the buttons, triggers and analog stick feel nice. You can insert a memory card or rumble pack but they will not work, which is fine for me since I use Project64. It works well with both N64 and 1964 emulators. I have only used it a handful of times but am happy with it.

I've had good luck with these, but not this time from this seller. Product did not work on arrival.
Bought this to replace my old one. Unsure if I just got a dud or what, but my computer won't detect this controller at all. No response on emulators, Zelda recomp... not really any software or games which use a controller pick this thing up, and I do not get the usual windows chime when you plug in a device when trying. Never had this kind of issue with one of these lower-cost usb n64 controllers before, so I'm definitely disappointed. :( Here's to hoping the one I got for my friend works when he gets the chance to check it. EDIT: My friends does not work either. At the very least if you're getting this for Zelda recompiled or other similar projects, do not get this controller. For whatever reason it does not work with them.

Perfect for Simple64 emulator
This controller works perfectly. Brings me back to the late 90’s. I am using it with simple 64 and setup was a breeze. I definitely recommend this this N64 controller for anyone looking for a controller. Especially with simple64 emulator… 007, here I come

Good as a back up....hopefully these have improved since I bought mine!
Serviceable, but not for serious enthusiasts. Good kid controller, perhaps, as it does perform and does the bare minimum. D Pad bottoms out and is the worst aspect of this pad by far. Joystick was decent, but I barely used this more than a month . Bought a Retro Bit "Tribute 64" which has a more traditional controller shape but works so much better overall

Works well
Got it working, the buttons are harder to program and the A and B buttons work backwards. But enjoying using them once I got the programming part down thanks to Gemini.

Perfect for a PC emulator
So far this has been a great nostalgia find. I’ve used it to play Goldeneye and Ocarina of Time on my PC, and it has worked flawlessly. Time will tell how durable it is, but it seems solid so far after a month.

Worth it!
Okay, so we've only used it for an hour for Mario Kart 64, but I'm completely satisfied. First, it definitely is compatible with the Switch and I did not have to mess with the controller mapping. The the weight and buttons all feel like the original minus a rumble pack. Only wish the cord was longer, but it's standard so I'm not going to deduct stars. If it holds up for 6 months I'll change quality to 5 stars. If you need a basic 64 controller for the new online Nintendo expansion pack this is a great option!
