This pen is great. The construction is solid, it feels good in your hand. The clip on it is very sturdy and will hold it securely in your pocket. The gunmetal color looks very sleek, and the bolt action is very easy to use. It also makes it a great little fidget toy without being obnoxious. Most importantly, it writes fantastically. Smooth and smudge-free. Just keep an eye out if you let someone borrow it. They’re going to want to keep it.

I love this pen! Do I think it’s worth the price? Probably not, but it’s nice. Excellent quality, writes smooth on their paper. Excellent weight. Very versatile, works in many positions. I’d buy again, but wish it was less expensive.

Pros: Very sturdy, nice looking and reliable. No issues with smudging, either. Cons: it gets uncomfortable to write with very fast. Great for quick field notes, but I wouldn't use for any detailed writing, journaling nor even in a classroom setting.

Works as advertised, and has an addictive action that I just can't stop bolting/unbolting. Smooth writing action as well. A EDC item if ever I saw one, and that's a recommendation from a guy who is obsessed with writing pens, art pencils, and almost anything else that can somehow draw a line.

Overall decent daily pen, but keep it away from the jobsite.. the bolt worked well for maybe 2 days, now it locks up and takes way too much force to be worth using.. back to the fischer pen.

This is the one you're looking for! There is a similar plastic one (that's ok), but this one is all-metal. It's got a pleasant weight to it, and beware the bolt action is more addictive than any clicker to operate - and probably extremely annoying to ppl around you as you absent-mindedly fiddle with it while thinking :)

I get at least one compliment a day on the weight and writing quality of this pen. As someone who does a fair bit of paperwork daily in all weather this pen works great and feels wonderful. I can’t wait to save the money too purchase the bolt action readiness pen to add to my rite in the rain collection!
