Sixteen-year-old Nathan is the new kid in high school. One night while attending a party he falls in love with Louis, a boy in his class. Sneaking away from the crowd, they find themselves out of sight, and eventually work up the courage to kiss each other--but someone takes notice. Soon a picture is published on Facebook, and a storm of bullying and rejection takes over their lives. A touching love story --New Video An important film that deserves to be seen.... --Gay Themed Film Reviews A well-made film that is sensitive throughout and is beautifully filmed. --Reviews by Amos Lasson Review: Perfect story, but not so perfect ending. - I love the story as a whole... itโs simply perfect. The ending isnโt perfect, but Iโm willing to ignore that I definitely dislike what they did with the ending. The love between Nathan and Louis is apparent at the party and actually before that when Nathan is introduced to the literature class... I truly enjoy seeing them looking at each other and knowing that they already liked each other. When the two boys find a seemingly secluded spot theyโre inexperienced and a little scared and they captured this moment... and Iโm only sorry that theyโre kissing was interrupted.Iโm happy a number of the characters were sort of fleshed out... the wretchedness of the bullies, the principal and Nathanโs two teachers, the math teacher and her female interest,Nathanโs relationship with his dad and Louis with his dad and mum, and Nathanโs dad interacting with his police colleagues.A pity that Louisโ dad was nice at the start and the end I saw a glimmer of hope that his character would start to accept Louis being gay and be proud of him... and there I feel heartbroken for Louis.I kind of imagine Stephane,Nathanโs dad... being a second dad for Louis. The collection of actors were truly well cast.As soon as I saw Hidden Kisses on HereTV... I knew Iโd have to buy it. Review: Trouble to sustain love amidst a homophobic school reaction. - Very good movie, someone posts in Facebook a photo of the 2 boys kissing, but only one boy's face is identified in the photo, so he bears the brunt of the love relationship between them. This photo influences their subsequent love life, which is already marred by the homophobic repartee from the same school they attend. A high quality drama, which should engage you while you watch this movie. The boys acting is brilliant and so is the screenplay.

Worth at least 10 stars. A great film!
The finest story of young gay teenagers coming to grips with who they are and how to deal with it. Painful at times and difficult to watch but truly a fine piece of work. Beautifully acted, photographed, written, and edited this an absolute work of art. This film really gets to the heart of what it is like to be a young gay teen trying to find yourself in the world of cruel teens who just can't help themselves bullying someone who is different than what they perceive as the norm. While the spoken language is French the subtitles bridge the language gap.

Good Story
Very good story of what we go through as gay and glad it had a nice ending. Well kind of. Well done anyway.

This is what "Love Simon" could have been
This is what Love Simon should have been, but wasn't. This speaks more to the experience of being a gay high school student than the insipid Love Simon could hope for. This is a pity because the book "Simon Versus the Homo sapiens Agenda" was a good read and I would recommend it to anyone who saw the movie. The character development is good and the interaction with the parents and teachers felt true (at least to my experiences). The movie is in French with subtitles, almost enough to make one want to learn French, just to get the full meaning of the movie. An excellent movie.

A very true movie about the homosexual drive in people, what they have to confront in life, and the reality of human nature.
I went into this movie with low expectations. I was totally surprised! The movie was so realistic, in presenting the views of human nature toward homosexuality. Normal people, with normal drives and attraction toward the opposite sex, have no clue what it is to be like to wake up one day and realize that you are attracted to the same sex. No clue at all. Yet, they are the majority and they judge you, and the results are so destructive. I am there, I just watched this tonight and I had tears. I already want to watch this again. I feel for the main characters . Two young men, so beautiful and so attractive, with so much to offer, yet so abused and the forces of humanity so against them that it was very destructive. I go through this internal battle every day in my own life. The writers did a great job on this. This is a movie that I can relate to based on my experiences in life. A true display of humanity, and its cruelty based on what people don't know, nor understand.

Hiding in plain sight
This movie shows the struggle of trying to fight one's own nature, in order to be accepted by the masses. It is a perfect representation of the closeted one, and the lengths they will go to stay in the closet. It also showcases the struggles those who are affected by that closet, or bursting out of that closet. Great work, much redemption throughout the movie.

Another claasic gay themed French film
I don't know why, but the French are at their best when they release gay themed films. My all-time favorite is Just A Question Of Love from a few years back. This release becomes my 2nd all time favorite French film. The acting is excellent and I loved the coming out storyline of the confused boyfriend of the main character. Other than Call Me By Your Name, this is one of the best recent films with a gay theme. Hollywood is still trying, but with no success in matching the appeal and quality of foreign gay films.

A quality film
This French film with English subtitles is a sensitive treatment of a gay theme in a school context.

So tender, without being overly soppy
All the struggles of teenage life, with the added issue of being something different. so tender with the teens, but honest with the adult response.

Moving "first love" story!
Beautifully rendered story of a strong initial love between two teen age boys and the difficulties and near savagery encountered at school and at home. But it is also interesting to witness the initial rejection in both families, with one father steadfastly rejecting his son, while the other eventually coming to grips with the reality that he loves and accepts his son. Very moving moments when one of the teenager sees only death as his escape, but....!!
