The threat of darkness follows all Stonekeepers closely, and it will take the strength of both new friends and old foes to conquer itโฆ and survive. Review: Happy to see this series finally tied up! - Series Info/Source: This is the 9th (and final) book in the Amulet series. I bought this book in paperback to read. Thoughts: I really enjoyed this conclusion to the Amulet series, I thought it was very well done. It does feel a bit rushed and it does leave some things feeling a bit unfinished. However, I thought it was a realistic ending and all the things that needed to be concluded were. The way it ended does make me wonder if we will be seeing a spin-off series from this one. Looking back I can't believe that the first book in this series was released in 2008, holy cow that was 16 years ago. My son was 1 year old when I started reading this series and he grew up reading these books. Sadly he has no interest in finishing the series at this point, but wow this series was a long time in the making and well worth the wait! I am not going to try to summarize the plot for this one. At this point in the series there are a lot of characters and story lines going on. However, I never had trouble following what was happening and really enjoyed reflecting on how our characters have grown throughout the series. I did go back and re-read all the previous books in this series. Personally, I would recommend doing that because the story is pretty complex and these graphic novels are short reads. It took me 20-30 min to read each one...so it was about a 4 hour committment to read the whole series again before reading the finale. The illustration throughout takes my breath away, it is so beautiful. Kibuishi has so much talent both as a visual artist and a storyteller. I am really looking forward to his next project. My Summary (5/5): Overall I really enjoyed this and am so happy to see this series get a well done conclusion. This does feel a bit rushed at parts and the ending is a bit more open-ended than I expected. However, I enjoyed it and thought it was realistic and well done. The illustration continues to be absolutely outstanding and I really enjoyed watching our characters grow and change throughout the series. If you are looking for an amazing fantasy graphic novel series, I would highly recommend this one! Review: Kids love this series - Amulet Book 9: The Rise of the Dark continues to deliver the exceptional mix of adventure, magic, and emotional depth that has made the series so beloved. Kazu Kibuishi proves once again that he is a master of both storytelling and illustration, offering a book that is visually stunning and narratively captivating. While the complexity of the plot and the cliffhanger ending might be challenging for newcomers, for fans of the series, this book is an essential and thrilling continuation of Emilyโs journey.

This series sparked a love of reading in my daughter.
I'm thrilled with Amulet Book 9! This graphic novel is a page-turner that captivated my daughter's attention from start to finish. She devoured it within 48 hours, and I'm so grateful for this series that has sparked a love of reading in her. As a parent of a child with dyslexia, it's wonderful to see her engaged with a book. The artwork is also impressive, adding to the story's appeal. Thank you for creating a series that has made reading a joy for my daughter.

read this book series as a sort of comfort when my grandfather passed my freshman year of highschool, 8 years later having graduated it and being an adult. I saw the final book was released so i bought it while working and can say im sad to see it end but happy it was here. It brought great comfort to me and i definitely recommend it to anyone regardless of age.

A fitting end to the captivating saga of Emily, Navin, and friends.
After seven long years, Waverider brings closure to the Amulet Series that has captivated readers of all ages. Kazu Kibuishi has given us a wonderful fairytale that offers many positive messages about the uses and dangers of power, and the importance of inclusion, redemption, and forgiveness. I look forward to sharing this last installment with young people who have grown up with Emily, Navin, Trellis, Leon, Ikol and all the others. So many of the characters were tied up with a bow. Dagno fans will be disappointed, but just about everyone else gets their moment. Thank you Kazu for taking us to Alledia and beyond.

For kids who love reading and specially at how beginning of primary school. The topic I find it a bit harsh, but after all it's a fiction book

My son loved it
As soon as my son heard that there was a final book coming out, I had to order it for him. He has totally loved the entire series, and even was re-reading them. He's Autistic, late teens. Bookworm. He read this in one sitting, or rather late night. He told me the ending was---I can't remember how he worded it, but he was very satisfied with the conclusion of the series, and he'd say if he wasn't! Ha! I highly recommend this series for older kids & younger teens, or "developmentally delayed" older teens and adults.
