Bought some 200AH LIFEPO4 drop in batteries (non-smart) and had issues reaching above 13.8v during charge, with more than half of them... I had some suspicions one cell or more were reaching 3.65v before the rest. They still pulled capacity so support wasn't much help. After cracking one open, I confirmed the imbalance. This balancer worked perfectly, and was able to sort out the imbalance in a few hours of on/off tinkering. Just make sure you wire it up right. I'm cautious so I monitor that no cell goes over 3.65v (LIFEPO4) and let it get to work. Now I can charge to the proper 14.2-14.6v on these batteries. Many cheap drop in batteries have a BMS that either doesn't balance, or if it does, it's at a pathetic rate of 30ma or so. This seems to be good quality including the case and 18awg balance leads. Highly recommend this active balancer with case! Only wished they also included a small wiring diagram in box. Saved screenshot from Amazon, so wasn't an issue, but it's my only complaint.

I mean it's simple electrical theory - this balancer should work well. I just didn't think it would work THIS well....especially for the price. I have 16 * 300Ah 3.2v cells that were pretty out of balance, and this balancer got them balanced within a few days! The battery bank is on a Daly BMS which is *supposed* to have balancing, but clearly was not effective. I put this balancer on top of it, and all cells are now almost perfectly balanced.

These cell balancers do work very well when carefully installed.

Been running this same balancer for years now. Have it balancing a 24ah headway cell bank and it’s done a fantastic job of keeping my cells balanced. Would buy again

I have had good success with these balancers. I am currently using four of them and will buy more in the future.

Lasted 24 hours. I hooked this up checked and re-checked the wiring and then plugged it in. Led came on, so I knew it was working. Checked with my current meter and current was flowing thru the un-balanced cells. Checked four hours later and the out of balance cells were slowly coming into balance with the rest. Then, the next day, I came out to check and I could smell some component had burned. I checked the balance board and three components had burned up. Decided this was not a good solution and bought a new BMS (way more money than this) with active balancing that worked much better.

So far the product has been good and it allows me to fully change my 48v 16s lipo4 battery. Even with a jk bms 2a active balancer I had 2 cells that was reaching fully charged way before the rest of the cells. My only complaint is the short leads. And it the only mounting option is on top of the battery. The short leads also made installing a pain as to not short any connections on the battery. To over come this I used Styrofoam packaging material to stuff the ring terminals into for insulation she this allowed me to work one wire at a time without shorting my battery. I also had to use insulation board to sit the device on and run the wires through it. Again, it's working perfectly and keeps my cells within 0.002 volts from each other. My only complaint i abs the reason for not giving 5 stars is the short leads.
