If you want to say remotely manage a Camera NVR then this is your best friend. One piece of CAT5e a hdmi cable then plug in your mouse and monitor the other end. Really good piece of kit.

The PWAYTEK HDMI and USB extender is a great device for controlling devices that aren't nearby. Great for front of house display screens in businesses where the machines can't be placed nearby for aesthetics. Device is very simple and easy to use, transmits through Ethernet cable and allows viewing and remote control of your machine. Price point is fair and easy to justify as modifying the space would be intrusive and far more costly. Decent piece of kit and built to a high quality.

I installed a camera system and needed to operate the NVR remotely. This worked perfect from the switch on.

just didn't work as expected. for some reason the picture was only 720p, there was a load of lag, the audio was distorted, the image was corrupted - weird colours in some pixels. it would cut out every 30 seconds or so... I got a different, more expensive one off this site which works perfectly.

Really good and perfect for my use scenario! I have a touchscreen in the kitchen and then a Cat5e link to my cabinet. This extender carries the HDMI and touch inputs to the PC in the cabinet perfectly which means there is minimal cables behind the TV. Even better is the adaptor only needs power at the send end so I've now only got the 1 plug for the touchscreen power behind it.

Not having to have power at the receiver end is a great plus. I was also worried that the USB extension may not be able to power my usb transmitter for my wireless mouse and keyboard but it did so that is great. It means this can be neatly hidden behind my TV with only having to account for the cat6 patch lead. Pleased for the functionality and for the price.

It works as described. I can extend my laptop to two monitors using HDMI and VGA ports. It is light and not too big. The only issue I had is that I can not lay my laptop on it as mentioned due to the Turbo port in my laptop being on the opposite side of the docking station.
