Old India Onion Granules 1 Kg

This is a big bag of dried onions at a very affordable price. The granules are quite small, dissolve readily both in liquid and in cooking oil. They have a delicate aroma and a taste that doesn't overwhelm the other seasonings in the dish. I decant about 50 grams into a lidded jar and keep them on my slice rack. The rest of the bag is kept sealed on the freezer. I have found the granules to be freeze/thaw stable. Good product, I'm pleased with it.

I understimated the weight of it . Probably the 500 gram version would be better for the average household. Ideal size if youre a business.

To have the onion granules was a nice change from having garlic. It adds a subtle flavour strong enough to taste, but not overwhelming I have added to all sorts of foods and dressing. I will purchase again.

These are great for flavouring numerous recipes, always convenient and I use them a lot. Best to keep in an airtight container cos they can solidify a bit. And sooooo much cheaper than those silly little supermarket pots!

We started making our own bread during the covid lock-down, and experimented with different additives to make different flavours and textures. Our favourite bread is now one which uses two or three heaped tablespoons of these onion granules for flavour - even the smell during baking is great. They're also very handy for adding to stews etc. Great flavour, great value.

I Love these granules, they are soooo much better than onion powder. There's no woof! followed by an onion smelling cloud haze that coveres all the work space for a for two feet in any direction, which when you then TRY to wipe off turns to a thick sticky mess that needs two or even three cloth changes before you have seen the last of it. Nooop ! Not for me! Give me Onion granules EVERY time! So much cleaner, much more easily used, and best of all they taste so good in all my dishes, I'm so happy I have found these ONION GRANULES!

Got this product because of dietary needs. It's really good, great value, works well as a substitute for fresh onions. I like the fact it is a bit granulated as it adds body. I used to use onion powder and discovered this when I couldn't find it. Much prefer it and it works in a dietary way as well as the powder.

Well worth the money paid and would buy again.
