I bought this a few weeks ago to listen to my old cd’s as I haven’t heard them for many years. I love the look of the disc player but the buttons are almost invisible, I do everything with touch & have almost mastered the position of all buttons. It would have been so much better if the machine came with either a small remote or an app to make the controls easier to navigate. I’m happy with it though and there’s no jumping or juddering if I move it around. My last cd player was bought in the early 90’s & if you moved it the disc would jump it just stop playing but no problems with this one.

Regarding the Trettire T-CP8 CD player. Infuriating CD player with really exceptional sound. A bargain in one way....a nightmare in other ways. Very attractive and very modern in looks. The sound is audiophile. Better than many DAP and stand alone CD players.....and lots of volume using my Penon 10th Anniversary earphones. On a full charge 10 hours playback. Shake the unit around and nothing skips....amazing. I'm playing a Jazz compilation....."Global Magic Magic Moments volume 4" World Jazz anthology. Sounds involving, great clarity, with enough impact and good edges to notes. But functionality has lot's of drawbacks. Bluetooth is basic and with my Sony Bluetooth Headphones, very ordinary sound. No LDAC or APTX! The buttons are impossible. I have to lift the unit to see them, and long presses and short do different things. To get the CD out when the player is stopped I have to use a toothpick to get to the edge of the CD to lift it because the centre CD holder does not release the CD when pressed, as the instructions ask. So the good is the amazing sound and 10 hours of playback, the look, the disk stability and no jumping whatsoever. Bass, mids and treble are all clear, clean, impactful and musical (you will need good earphones or headphones), the T-CP8 is definitely Audiophile in the traditional sense. The bad almost the whole handling experience. Finding buttons and doing the right type of 'press'...no backlight and bizrre positioning. Ejecting the CD! Argghhhhhhh! For those of you with patience the sound will reward you. For those of you with little patience, stay well away.....it will drive you completely mad.

Where is multiple sound affects, no one seems to be able to tell me, it is clearly advertised in rge Pictures yet I still don't know how to access them? UPDATED Now that the company answered my question I'm now very happy with this item the Bluetooth works great and does have a fantastic sound plus battery is excellent and turns orange when down to 20% and flashes when down to 5% which I find is a fantastic feature, so I would recommend this, I paid £60 for this and to be fair is worth it, 😀

Don't be tempted by the beautiful design. This stop working after roughly a month and I had been using it no more than 2 or 3 times. It stayed in the cupboard at home as well. So very fragile. All my CDs started coming up with "read error" or "no disc" messages. Also it's super fiddly you can't see what button does what well, just really annoying to use. But yeah look good on the shelf.

If you want to play cds now and again (because you're a gen Xer like me) this is perfect. It doesn't take over any space and looks cool. It doesn't advertise its presence. It just looks like a brushed gold thingy. Buttons are hard to find. But find them.
