Preventative Topical Flea Treatment and Prevention for Large Cats (Over 9 Pounds), Kills Fleas Within 12 Hours, 6 Count

This was my first personal experience with any Amazon Basics branded product and I have been beyond satisfied, I've been legitimately surprised at how well this flea treatment has worked. Nearly every review of an Amazon Basics product I've seen or read has been overwhelminly positive so I had high hopes before it even arrived. There is essentially zero difference in the efficacy & duration of action between the expensive comparable name brands and this. The box says to compare it to the Advantage II equivalent, which I have experience with. While the ingredients and all seem identical and likely are identical, it genuinely seemed to me that not only did this brand work just as well and as fast as Advantage II, it seemed to last slightly longer (I doubt there was a noteable difference if there was a difference at all). Bottom line is that you are essentially getting the most respected, best performing, highest quality topical flea treatment for cats on the market for half the price. If you liked Advantage II & it worked well for you, I couldn't recommend the Amazon Basics equivalent more. It's like you're paying double the price to get the same actual product in an expensive brand's packaging. Most topical flea treatments that I've used in the past have been fairly easy to apply and this product was no different. In fact, because of how the application nozzle was shaped, this product was slightly easier to apply than most. The nozzle is designed in a way that makes it effortless to easily & quickly move thru the fur without snagging, allowing you to quickly apply it directly to the skin. Application is so quick and easy that it takes literal seconds and can be completed before your cat has a chance to realize something is going on. It doesn't take much time at all before it is very clearly working. In under an hour, fleas will quickly begin dropping dead. This product doesn't gradually eliminate fleas, it eradicates them with a vengeance and aggression. Once it begins working, a layer of dead fleas will be left behind any place your cat stays for more than a short moment. The efficacy is legitimately impressive. Surprisingly, for a product that works so strongly in such a short amount of time, I have noticed my cats experiencing exactly zero instances of negative issues such as irritated skin (even exactly where it was applied). The easy application process and the effective yet gentle medications used make for a product that does exactly what it claims to do without seeming to cause any physically or mental discomfort for cats. I have 4 cats all with varying fur types, lengths, thickness, etc. This product seems to work equally well and for just as long on all 4 so it appears that if applied correctly, the fur type doesn't have much, if any, impact on product performance.

Im still 50/50 on this product. I got this cause the collors i get for my cats were out of stock. Ive had to use it twice now. About 3 weeks in between. Mostly cause they're still getting fleas but thats also cause my roommates have indoor outdoor cats and havent treated theirs. So I think this would be a great monthly treatment as it does take care of the fleas for a while and if your on top of it with all your animals

Bought this brand bc of price and same ingredients as name brand and different ingredients from my usual flea drops. I had to change it up bc my usual go to wasn’t working with this summer’s flea season and the fleas were the worst in over 10+ years! Also my cat is an indoor outdoor cat so he brought the fleas into my home but within 12 hours of applying this product on him-no more obvious scratching or kicking at the fleas on him! And within 24 no more fleas in his bed it lasted the whole 30 days with no fleas. So worth the money!

The medicine works, but both of my cats have bald spots and irritation where the medicine was applied.

I was skeptical like everybody but I have been using this flea and tick for an entire year and my cats have absolutely no bugs on them whatsoever. My male cat literally lays in the bush outside of the house so he puts this stuff through its paces trust you me lol 🤣. You can't beat the price, I do a once a year switch to the flea and tick killer that also kills worms but that's 170$ dollars for 6 months and That's for one cat I mean who can afford that? So for the other 9 Month, this is my go too, I also treat a lot of outside cats and Friends pets so it being so cheap just works out. I never trusted the hartz brand that's 5$ it always sketched me out.

This is just as effective as the higher costing, name brand short of prescription strength alternative to treat n maintain pest free occupation of cat furr hotels for bugs. This kills the bugs, their eggs, and so far my rescues are doing well with monthly applications. Save your money and get this Amazon product, more bang for your buck, the bugs will hate you...but your cats will be your buddies for life, keep them pest free with Amazon Basics.

If you have indoor only cats this would most likely work great. I have 2 cats that go outside regularly and the medicine worked great for about 10 days and then the fleas started coming back. It was easy to use and I didn’t notice any negative side effects. It just didn’t last long enough.

Where to start. Same active ingredients as Advantage 2 which I used, and loved, before. Unless you treat your yards and carpets fleas will still jump on your pet, but eventually die. One of my cats is over 20 pounds, on occasion I do find a flea or two. However, nothing like he had on him, and I am still currently treating my yard and carpets. My other cat I treated with this brand is about 15 pounds, with thicker hair, and it has also cut the fleas down tremendously. He’s the cat that likes to go outside and roll in the grass, thus, dragging them inside. I’ve also noticed a lot less flea eggs and fleas in the carpet and their beds since starting it. Neither cats lost hair or got sick. I did however, but it up towards their neck more instead of between the shoulder blades so I knew they couldn’t reach it to lick and making sure it made contact with their skin not fur. Some cats may have more sensitive skin and had reactions to it, I’m not sure. I just know month 1 my boys have not had any reactions. Hope this helps.
