Great fancy dress beard

I liked the look of this when it was on but there were a few things that meant I didn't wear this overly long and not for most of the night of our Halloween party. First would be that the non-tied hair on the beard just frizzes up and blows all over, getting up my nose and in my mouth. Might be worth styling it beforehand and damping down the beard with some gel or something similar. As a bald man I had none of these things in the house so took it off from frustration. The second thing is the elastic. I ended up tying a knot in it as it kept slipping down and I do NOT have a small head! Might need a bit of adjustment to fit someone's head? Having said all that it looks really good. Had I some styling wax or gel and knew about the loose elastic I could have had a better night of it.

I wore this when I went to the butchers for some beef mince. I shouted "For Odin, glory and plunder!" The butcher stared at me and said "Do you want the mince or not?" After pausing to think, I replied "*Raaawwrrr!" ( a primal roar to intimidate the enemy) He ignored this and reminded me I had not settled my outstanding account. I retreated in order to regroup at `Wendy Towers'. He shouted after me "I like the hat!" Someone in the queue remarked that actually it was historically incorrect as the Vikings never had horns on their helmets. It's a popular misconception fuelled by 19th-century artistic depictions and popular culture, particularly in theatrical productions. Still, as he said, it's a nice hat.

I bought this as part of a Viking costume, and while I wasn't expecting cinematic-quality realism given the low price point, this beard is completely impractical and highly uncomfortable to wear. Good for a photo, not much else. Here is why I would recommend skipping this one: Quality & Appearance Right out of the packaging, the beard looks incredibly fake and synthetic. It has that cheap, shiny plastic sheen to it rather than looking like actual hair. Again, at this price tier, you expect some level of "novelty quality," but this looks particularly poor even for a budget prop. Fit was ok. Durability wise after an hour to two it was out of shape. The Main Issue: Comfort & Usability The biggest problem is how it feels on your face. The material is extremely scratchy and itchy against the skin. You couldn't wear it for more than a few minutes without wanting to tear it off. Worse yet, the design is totally impractical for a social event or party. The way it sits across your face completely restricts your mouth—you absolutely cannot eat or drink anything while wearing it. If you are going to a party or an event where you plan on having a beverage, you will have to constantly pull the beard off or hang it around your neck, completely defeating the purpose of the costume. Final Verdict Even for a cheap laugh or a quick photo, this just isn't worth the discomfort. It’s itchy, highly restrictive, and completely impractical for real-world use. Save your money and look for a higher-quality alternative!

La barbe est conforme à la photo, plutôt jolie et de bonne qualité. Par contre l'élastique était trop long et le trou pour la bouche un peu grand mais elle a bien fait l'affaire pour la soirée. Ne perd pas trop ses poils.
