It only has one flush function. Press and it does a full tank flush.

Can you unclip the bottom of the cylinder to fix to existing part?

Sorry bit confused,do you mean take existing part from cistern and connect new one ,if so yes i think its a quarter turn and lift off,drop new part in and turn to connect.I only wanted the chrome push button from the new flush unit but i have removed the top section in the past to clear scale from the seating washer to stop water dripping into the wc pan,hope this helps .

Can you replace the seating washer by simply turning the unit anti clockwise..Or do you have to remove the entire cistern?

You just turn top portion i think quarter turn and lift off of fixed section ,no need to remove the cistern thats the beauty of this new type of flush valve really very simple.
