Does nothing, Used to be awesome, and no returns or credit even for long time custumer
Please read before buying. This is not an angry review. just a heads-up from a long-time customer. I have been using Curease products for about 4 years and have generally loved them. I currently use several of their products, including Ovary, Heart, Thymus, L-Dopa, and Beef Thyroid. Unfortunately, my most recent bag of Beef Thyroid (Lot 1173 ex May 2027)has been a very different experience. Also note that the thyroid is not standardized (it varies from batch to batch). My family has used desiccated thyroid supplements for 15+ years (25 years if you include meds, we are free from them). We eat a clean diet, avoiding wheat, dairy, and sugar, and we carefully measure our doses using a precision scale. We had been doing very well for a long time. Energy was good, weight was moving in the right direction, and overall things were working. We needed to get a new bag our old one expired and our bodies where going in the wrong way. At APR 8th 2026, we finished an older bag and opened a new one. The flavor was 50% less. It used to smell like when you open a natural dog food bag! (I don't miss that) Texture is different wondering if it's cut? After switching to the new batch, all three of us noticed changes. We felt more tired, our progress is still stalled, and despite maintaining our routine, we began gaining weight. In our case,by June 2 2026 I increased my walking significantly, yet my weight has not gone down but up over a few months. My father gained after staring the new batch 25+lb, my mother 22+lb. I contacted Amazon and was directed to contact Curease directly. We also noticed other changes that coincided with opening the new bag, including lower energy levels, blood sugar went up, systemic pain, and started hair shedding. (all are signs of low thyroid according to doctors) Because of these issues, we gradually increased our dosages far beyond what had worked consistently for years (10+ years for all of us no matter what brand we used). My dose increased from 125 mg to 175 mg, while my parents increased theirs from 195 mg to 240 mg. Even with the higher amounts, we did not experience results we had with previous batches. I had tried to up my dose in the pasted being it was a childhood dose, but I had heart palpitations (getting to much). But I had no response. And still nothing. When I reached out to Curease, I was told they were still using the same batch that I had(Lot 1173 ex May 2027), and no replacement, credit, or discount would be provided. While I understand companies have policies, I was disappointed that there was no effort to help resolve the issue for a long-time customer. Or my families health so disregarded) My other concern is the price increase. When I first started purchasing this product, the 1lb bag cost about $65. in one year, it went up to the same size costs approximately $180. (which I would be happy to pay if the product works) Old price: $65 per lb Current price: $180 per lb Increase: $115 per lb Percentage increase: 176.9% In other words, the product now costs about 2.77 times what it did before. Dont even get me started on the 4.2oz. $65 for 4.2 oz option is equivalent to about $247.62 per lb! I am not claiming that everyone will have the same experience. I can only share what happened with my family after opening this batch. I hope this information helps other customers make an informed decision.
