Excellent performance. I have not measured at all, but from ear I cannot detect any degradation in sound . I use the maximum switch and it works brilliantly. Great value

1 attenuator worked the other did not, so they were returned as faulty, bear in mind these are also quite long so if clearance at the back of the unit you are using them with is tight beware - As I was somewhat unimpressed with the quality I actually bought more expensive ones which enables more of the travel of the volume pot on my Roksan Kandy amp to be used - If you are using better than budget gear you can do better than these I feel, I may have been unfortunate with 1 being faulty, & overall they may be OK.

Not wanting (or able) to splash out 40 pounds for a pair of Rothwell attenuators I nervously gave these a shot. I'm glad I did - they are extremely good if you not trying to drag that last fraction of a percent out of your system. I use them to reduce the input to a DAC connected to my laptop, giving me a bit of headroom in recording. No problems with stability or noise. The switches work noiselessly, and the difference between settings is audible. One of the pair was a little loose when polugged in, but a moments pressure between finger and thumb was enough to tighten the flanges. If you are on a budget these are well worth a look at. 5 stars.

I purchased these attenuators to help control excessive gain from a Subwoofer. They are easy to fit and have a very useful three settings 10db 15db and 20db, of attenuation. Once fitted and set to the required level they perform well enabling the amplifier to be set in a more useful, and sensible range, making fine control very easy. There appears to be no sound degradation on my system, they maybe audible on a very high resolution system, but I doubt these would be needed in such a system. In the context I am using these devices they provide enough cut to enable fine tuning of the Subwoofer to match a pair of high quality mini monitors, making the full music range audible and propelling the rhythm along beautifully. Well recommended for any system which could do with a slight cut in gain to help clarity.

I connected these attenuators set to -10db between my Quad Vena II & Quad Elite QSP on the QSP inputs, because the pre-out of the Vena is a bit too high for the QSP, meaning that the volume control never passed the 9 o'clock position at normal listening levels, so I hoped that this attenuator would give me more range on the volume control. Indeed it did, but unfortunately, in so doing it also destroyed the sound quality at the same time. NOT RECOMMENDED.

Cheaper than the competition and works well without affecting the sound quality. What's not like?

J'ai un dac qui a un niveau de sortie un peu trop élevé. Avec ces atténuateur mon préampli travaille mieux ce qui me permet de monter le volume avec un meilleur équilibre tonal.

Planowałem zastosować adapter do podłączenia nowoczesnego DAC do vintage wzmacniacza z lat 70. Niestety - słychać wpływ na jakość dźwięku - staje się przytłumiony, traci detaliczność. Dokonałem zwrotu.

I had a lot of distortion coming from my CD player. Nothing else worked but these solved my issue straight away. Very pleased
