This is such a good package that it should really be the standard for these kinds of brine shrimp kits. The thermometer in particular is quite basic yet very handy for ensuring the setup is at the right temperature. The magnifying lens and LED lights also make spotting even the tiniest dragons much easier (we could actually see the hatchlings the very next day!) The glow in the dark aspect is a little pointless considering the tank is best placed somewhere light, though (in fact, we've not actually seen it glow at all.) The main downside if any is that although the instructions are simple to follow, they could be more consistent (particularly regarding feeding - the part about adding two spoons of food on the second day should definitely be ignored). They're printed on a leaflet in the box, on the egg/food sachets and also on the website, but they all differ slightly in their advice, so it may not be clear to children what is the "correct" way to do it (the website is probably the best bet.) We also left the water a while to get up to temperature before adding any eggs. That aside, I don't think it detracts from the kit itself - we've hatched more aqua dragons than we can count so it's definitely been a success! I'm sure we will buy a refill sachet and start the process all over again (and again!)

We bought this in March 2019 as a replacement for a Sea Monkey kit and, in May 2020, have only just lost our last Dragons from this set. Fascinating to watch them, and to be watched, as some appeared to be curious as we observed them. No problems with hatching the first eggs, and many generations succeeded them, so it was a great success. Just follow the instructions - easy. Lovely to switch the base light on at night, to watch them swim around in a ghostly blue glow (battery needed). Buying a replacement egg & food set now; after giving the tank a good clean, we hope these will last as long.

Very good quality product and packaging. Clear instructions and very interesting for my son, he's mesmerised. Unfortunately our Aqua Dragons have all died after 5 days (even though we fully followed the instructions and a similar set that my daughter has is still thriving after doing exactly the same), we aren't put off though and will be buying a top up set of eggs and food to start again. Overall very good buy for my science mad son's Christmas present.

Don’t buy these I bought these for my nephew for his birthday and they died a few days later I am really unhappy about this he has autism and has been taken meltdowns such a shame he really wanted a pet and wanted these ones

Brilliant idea for a brine shrimp "instant pet" kit! Love it! Very high quality compared to Sea-Monkeys, much better hatch rates, better quality food, better instructions, larger water volume for the tanks + more. I love the glow-in-the dark base and feeding spoon, the thermometer is also a very useful addition, makes me wonder why more brine shrimp kits don't come with a thermometer. The pipette/turkey baster-like cleaning tool is much better than the "Aqua-Leash" sold with some Sea-Monkey tanks too. This particular product line is a unique concept as the eggs have actually been sent into "space" (or "near space" depending on how you define this). I'll update this review with pictures in the future :).

Big and little kids like this kit! Out of this world, especially eggs sent to space. Little asteroid shaped mini water tank and all kit included. Eggs hatched into minute babies successfully with ease. My Aqua Dragons getting bigger and fun to watch with blue lights on. Ideal time to grow as they like warmth. Facebook community and video of launch exciting. Easy and clean to keep these pets without fur or poo mess, or no landlord's permission needed, ideal for any people in flats or without garden. Highly recommended.

This is the fourth of these brine shrimp style kits I have purchased and it is wonderful. It is an attractive kit to look at and they shrimp themselves are doing well. The concept behind it and certificate to verify the eggs have been in space is a lovely little extra too. Happy with this purchase.

It took a long time for the pets to be visible, we actually thought they were all dead and almost dumped them. But we now have a tank full of little swimmers and my 10 year old son is quite impressed.

I had a tank of sea monkeys and had maybe 20 eggs hatch. They lasted 6 months and I had to watch them die one by one due to the ancient system the sea monkey company has of purchasing seamedic. My aqua dragons are 3 weeks strong and I’d estimate over fifty dragons between first batch, newly hatched babies from breeding and hatchlings from the remaining eggs that came in the packet. The tank is adorable but due to my mistake I didn’t put batteries in BEFORE!! Setting up the tank. So I can’t enjoy the glowing feature but the whole squad is thriving and that is enough for me

Mi hijo lo ha disfrutado muchísimo. Les ha cuidado y seguido instrucciones, controlando la temperatura hasta que por fin hemos visto puntitos moverse. Les hemos grabado con el microscopio digital y es muy divertido verles crecer y moverse con rapidez. Como pega, el termómetro de papel se ha roto y es casi imposible cambiar el agua, por lo que va oliendo cada vez peor. Aún así, es muy recomendable.
