I am particularly glad that I bought the TWO Pack, just in case they do slip! As in the photo, I mounted them atop each other with about an inch above them, so even if that inch disappears, I still have a much better situation than without! I installed these four days ago and SO FAR, GREAT! I am NOT a light person (around 205 pounds) and these appear to be holding. I LIKE that they: 1) fit my 1+ inch chair tube as the ad says 2) come with some sort of plastic liner that is non-slip 3) have sturdy screws for severe tightening. I only gave them 4 stars for ease of assembly because I think they would be MURDER to install using the included 6mm hand held hex wrenches. Fortunately, I have metric wrenches for a socket driver. It takes TORQUE to fully tighten these that I doubt can be achieved with your fingers holding the wrenches, but they DO tighten with a good ratchet socket wrench! UPDATED February 4, 2024 - STILL HOLDING and I am NOT LIGHT! AWESOME! To those who still have slippage, MAYBE you need more torque when tightening. I used a high quality socket wrench!

I bought this item as the cylinder with my office chair started collapsing. This is an effective way to stop the annoying issue. Way cheaper than buying a new chair or cylinder replacement.

I had an old chair that I didn't have the money or time to replace and this took care of the minor inconvenience of it not going up all the way. This was pretty simple to attach and much cheaper than getting a whole new canister of air replaced. Obviously there are some downsides, such as not being able to lower your chair once it's attached but you get what you pay for. So far it has been sturdy and hasn't slipped at all.

Honestly wish I would have purchased these sooner. I've been fighting a sagging drafting chair for several months while hoping the manufacture would respond to a warranty claim. The chair would suddenly begin to drop treating video callers to seeing my head quickly drop out of frame. Then have to stand up and adjust the chair only for it to rinse and repeat all day long. The brackets installed in less than a minute, the allen key is easy to use. They fit perfectly the first time and was incredibly easy to get at just the right height. It feels like there's nothing on the chair. 10/10 would absolutely recommend.

The item works very well at keeping chair at their highest level or what ever level you choose. It seems to work better with both installed.

If you are thinking about buying this because your hydraulic is going out in your chair and this could be the fix all. Lemme stop you there. It's not and it won't. This thing has been installed for about an hour now and I've fixed the chair 4 times. I have have the thing on as tight as plyers could get it and nope still goes down.

Got these for someone who weighs over 300 lbs. It’s been over a week since he put them on his chair but so far so good. He did mention that he wiped down the cylinder really well before putting them on but there has been absolutely no slippage.

Okay. Put one on, after a day, chair sank. Put two on, and it is holding after 2 weeks.

Installing was easy. Works great, holds the seat up.

Easy to install, good quality. Only issue is the Allen keys provided were too small and had to use my own tools. Otherwise, would’ve been 5 stars.

The funny part is that for a while, lately, I was trying to find a cheap solution to my 'sinking chair' without having to scoop hundreds of dollars. I managed to come up with some methods to prop my chair up permanently and I was in process to do it when I came accross these brackets on Amazon. What a relief! These brackets did it for me in a clean, cheap and perfect manner. If you struggle with this sinking chair problem, I would highly recommend the brackets.
