Typhoo Tea (Bold Extra Strong 80ct Foil fresh, Pack 1)

Tuphoo’s extra strong tea is not just stronger. It is a slightly different blend that enhances the flavor. Extra Strong was not available so I ordered an 80 bag box of regular blend expecting I could just brew it longer to make it extra strong. Nope. Now I am gifting all my friends with the extra bags and found another retailer who stocked the Extra Strong. The stuff really is special.

This is powerful stuff. Plenty of caffeine with smooth flavor. I brew a cup every morning and recommend it highly.

Typhoo markets at least three different strengths of their tea. This is obviously their strongest. They also have some with the same weight per volume (250 grams/80 bags), and others with the equivalent of 226grams/100 bags. Which is the usual weight per hundred bags for most black teas.

This tea is super rich and darker than most, and smooth not bitter. If making more than a cup, you won't need as many bags as with other black teas. The ONLY reason I give 4 stars is due to the price. It is probably worth it, since I am buying it, but I am also always looking for it in some of the discount stores (which is where I found it the first time and cost was much less). My son and grandson absolutely love this tea and nothing else suits them. Price matters to me, but they are addicted to it. Go for it if you can afford it. It is delicious tea.

I grew up on Nesta and Lipton. Never again. This tea actually tastes like tea. I have friends that come to my house specifically for a glass of great iced tea. If you’re cutting back on coffee, this is the perfect option. I will never drink another tea again.

Listen, you only get an Oooo with Ty-Phoo so do yourself a favor and get these if you love a rich robust spot of classic British tea. I would probably move back to the UK if I couldn't get these in Vegas. Thanks Amazon.
