Lovely little item but has anyone else found the envelope score guide isn't correct, if I score to the scale mark given it isnt accuate. Any tips?

I had no problems with the item, although the markings are not very clearly written for people wearing glasses..

Can it be use as a scoring board?

Yes, a bit small. It was my first scoring board and you can also make small envelopes on the reverse of the board.
