The Super Mario Bros. Movie - Power Up Edition 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray + Digital [4K UHD]

Great movie however don't expect to get 4K on a standalone 4K player, the 4K encoding appears to only work on Playstation 5 for some reason. The 4K disc only plays in 1080i on my Panasonic DP-UB9000P1K player despite the player connected directly to my LG G4 OLED TV and other content playing correctly; so if you are planning on watching this on a dedicated player other than a PS5, wait for the double pack with Mario Galaxy to see if they fix this problem. Otherwise, great movie series and I hope the movie after Galaxy is a great hit too.

This was a great family movie. For the adults who remember the Nitendo game and for my son who saw the trailers and wanted to watch. We borrowed this movie from our local library and have watched on streaming services a few times before we decided it was a good investment. My son requests to watch this movie often and the rest of us, don't mind watching it again. Good quailty. Entertaining.

As a big fan of the Mario games & Nintendo in general (I own every console all the way back to the N64) this movie couldn't of been much better. It's beautifully animated & has a ton of nostalgic moments from both classic & modern Mario games. I waited a while, but ended up purchasing the 4K Blu-ray for $15 here on Amazon which is a steal. So far this movie is better than it's sequel the Super Mario Galaxy Movie IMO.

My son first saw this movie at 3 years old, and now at 6, he loves it just as much, if not more! We just bought this movie for our DVD player in the car, at my son’s insistence. Our whole family enjoys this movie, including my 4 year old son and my husband. It’s wholesome, entertaining, and nostalgic for adults who grew up loving the Mario characters (like my husband, whose personal favorite is Donkey Kong). Thanks to how much he enjoyed this movie, my son is now eagerly awaiting the premiere of Mario Galaxy. This movie is clean and appropriate fun for the whole family!

Since this film keeps moving from one streaming network to another, I decided to just buy the damn thing. My son loves it. I enjoyed it plenty the first 100 times that I saw it with him. The voice acting is great (huge hat tip to Jack Black!) I grew up on Mario back in the 80s and 90s, and I always appreciated the whimsical worlds that Nintendo has managed to create. This movie did a great job bring it to life even more!

A fun little movie that I cannot get enough of. I could watch it again, and again, and again! The reason for the -1 Star may be silly to some but: I find that this movie was too short, and had too many cuts that looked good on the many trailers circling the internet. Then there's the fact that in the games, Mario usually is out saving the princess, and while I do love how Peach can be her own one-woman-army, it took a bit off the nostalgia for this series that I love. MIND YOU, the movie is still great! One last thing that bothered me a lot on this movie was the fact that, despite Mario being treated as a "Nobody" at the beginning of the movie by the Toads, for some odd reason he is suddenly regarded as someone "so very important" without explanation as to HOW his status rose so highly for them. Despite all of that, I HIGHLY recommend this movie, as it is a lot of fun, has good humor, nice drama and tension, and so many Mario game elements do appear on this movie that its just a DELIGHT to watch again and again!

Our family loves this movie. Well worth the purchase!
