Body alarms for everybody small enough to keep in your pocket or hang off your purse, but everybody should have one. The alarm is loud.! this is the second time I’ve bought them for friends and my children and grandchildren

I have not needed to use this as a deterrent to an attack, but it is very loud! I have carried it on runs as a solo female runner while traveling in DC as well as other countries. I would use it to deter an attacking dog or animal if I needed to and feel it would keep them away. I have been attacked by dogs in the past on my runs, and did not want to spray them with pepper spray but have sprayed around me to keep them away. I feel this alarm will be better - if I ever need to use it. Small and easy to carry. No problems with it going off accidentally. Pepper spray is not allowed to be carried in many countries, so this was a nice alternative to feel safer as a solo traveler.

These were great and I plan to order more to give as gifts. They are very loud and work good. You can hook them to your keychain, your purse, or anywhere you feel comfortable putting them. I feel quite confident that if I ever needed to use one, the noise would make anyone run off.

My brother continues to suggest I carry a personal alarm for personal protection, but I see a picture of a device is quite small, like what kind of sound can it project? Upon testing, found it is quite loud, enough one hopes to startle another. There is also an LED white light, that turns on at the press of a button. The light does not flash with the alarm, it is not a beacon. The alarm is activated by pulling a pin, then stops when either the battery runs out, or the pin is replaced by inserting it into the alarm. The alarm needs to be out in the open, as the sound can be muffled by clothing. The alarm produces a loud chirping sound. The alarm should be activated at an arms length away to protect one’s hearing. It is not a fog horn, but one needs an air canister for that. The device is easy to use, there is a pin, with a lanyard attached, that needs to be pulled. It is certainly an attention getting device.

These are great for when I go running. I tested them out and they make a nice loud noise.

I’m on a limited fixed budget so I maintain a Wish List of things I need to buy, things I want to buy and, well, dreams. I prioritize them and, when the money becomes available I buy them and check them off the list. This has been in my list for a while. Silly, really, as this was a pretty high priority purchase. I live in a very large city in a mixed neighborhood. Interestingly, the convenience store closest to my apartment seems to be staffed exclusively with people of Nepalese descent. A couple of times recently I could tell that the night clerk, a young female, was afraid. This bothered me not only on a human level but because I have found the Nepalese people to be uniformly polite, kind and gentle. So when I reviewed my Wish List again and saw that I could buy two alarms for such a decent price I had to place my order. I saw that it requires three LR44 batteries to operate so I bought a 40 pack separately at a very affordable price. When I received the alarm and pulled the lanyard out of curiosity the alarm activated! I was pleasantly surprised to find out that it came with batteries installed. The brief instruction manual is poorly translated but that is not really significant. When I brought the alarm and some replacement batteries to the store to give to the clerk I was worried that she might doubt my intentions and refuse it. But she seemed very interested if a bit nervous when I explained about how loud the sound is. I decided to demonstrate and pulled the lanyard and quickly reinstalled the pin. I do not believe, as others have mentioned in the comments, that this is 140DB. But again, not significant. A very reasonable price, easy to use and I believe very effective in situations we may possibly encounter. So she’s happy, I’m happy, and that’s cool. And I forgot to tell her about the LED light. 😊

The keychain part bends a little easily for me but they work fine

Personal alarm is useful. We don’t harm anybody but just make noise to get attention and scare the one attack us

Antérieurement j’avais acheté le modèle qui est très semblable, mais le son n’était que 130 db, très clair, très insuffisant, mais celui-ci de 140 db a un son 50% plus fort, et moins aiguë. Il est vraiment efficace même dans un endroit bruyant. Ce système de signal d’urgence fait très bien ce dont il es conçu.

Fantastic product :) this is the best alarm I ever purchased. Lights are super bright and the sound is super loud, loudest I ever heard. Hard to be bear its soundings so it will attract immediate attention. Will purchase again. Excellent product.
