I have purchased 3 of these for 3 different properties. This thing is easy to setup and simply works as it should. At one location I have the receiver obscenely far away (3 floors and opposite side of building with brick walls and concrete floors) from the camera device and it still gets signal; that specific location is slightly less reliable because of how far it's located but all my other properties with reasonable distances work every time and with a lightning fast response.Whenever I have had questions about setup or issues needing troubleshooting the manufacturer is available 24/7 via email and phone. I've never experienced such great support.Have bought other smart garage control units but if there's no camera you an forget about it; you need the camera to watch the delivery guy drop off the package so you can close up behind him, etc..

When this system works as advertised, it's great. But the iPhone app is so damn glitchy and unpredictable that it deserves a single star. If they get the app right, 5-stars for sure. But until then, AVOID THIS PRODUCT because you'll be locked out due to the bug infested app.

Easy install. Synced automatically. Let me preface by saying I already installed Asante smoke detectors and so the wifi extender and apps were already working (on android phone). Took about 10-15 min . Almost anyone should be able to do this (unless you don't have a electric garage door opener). Instructions were good, supplies including wiring were included (that in itself is amazing) and mounting it on the wall was the hardest part. The app found the camera without me doing anything and asked if I wanted to add it to my other smoke detectors. I really like the Asante smoke detectors that have been installed and working well for about a year (emails and texts me even if there is a power failure). Well worth the investment. I will try to follow up with more feedback once I have a few months of use. No more garage door remotes to carry around!!P.S. If you don't have have the Asante system already in your home you will have to set it up and download the app. I did need to drill holes in my wall and by clips to hold the wires to the wall.

The camera/remote garage door opener was easy to set up and install. Works as advertised and is pretty cool. We are using the iPhone App to control the door and view the camera. Connecting to the camera can sometimes take 15 - 20 seconds and the connection drops out from time to time, but overall performance is acceptable. Any signal between your phone and the camera needs to travel through the cellular network, to your router, to the Asante "Home Extender," to the camera and then back again. Not surprisingly, this causes a few seconds of delay between pushing the open/close button and the door reacting. The video image is also delayed by a few seconds and is not smooth. The camera clearly shows whether the garage door is open or closed and the night vision works great. Having to "turn on" the night vision is a bit of an annoyance. It would be nice if the camera could detect low light conditions and then automatically active its night vision. The mounting makes it easy to aim the camera where you want, but I agree with some of the other reviewers that the field of vision is too narrow. We can only see about 1/2 of our standard size two car garage and a "zoom" adjustment would be appreciated. Despite these quibbles, I recommend this product especially if you have someone in your house who frequently frets over whether the garage door is closed....
