Although it's not real vanilla anymore, it's good to have if you also have recipes for Austro-Hungarian pastries (written in either German or Hungarian) which call for a package of it.

Product was as expected
I have used this brand many times before as did my mother. Dr. Oetker has long been a trusted brand of authentic German products in our family. Unfortunately, stores that carry these products are few and far between in my area so I thought I'd try ordering on amazon. It took a while to get here, due to the fact that I believe it actually comes from Germany and got stuck in customs but aside from that the convenience of not having to hunt it down elsewhere was a big plus and, as always, Dr. Oetker products did not disappoint in quality and value.
