ODENWOLF W-SCANDI Full Tang Survival Knife with Sheath is a steal of a knife and a fantastic deal at 40 bucks. Comes sharp and is well made for in the thirty to forty dollar range, truly a very spectacular knife. The scandi-grind is done perfectly and if you use a hand sharpener with a leather cover, just a bit of stropping and this work of art is shaving sharp. On top of that you get D2 steel at a bargain basement price. D2 is a decent budget steel that will hold an edge pretty well for a long time. For what you get at this price it will hold its own with a lot of the name brand bushcraft knives that sell for 3 to 4 times the cost of one of these little gems. The steel is thick and will hold up for years with just normal maintenance that you will have to perform for any knife you value and want to last. Having a strong background in camping and survival I am blown away every time I find an extreme deal for a tool that can help keep you alive in the back country.

The Odenwolf survavil knife is a very handy knife to have around when you’re out camping. It’s razor sharp and feels comfortable in the hand. I believe this knife can’t hold its own against any of the higher price brands.

And this one knifes well! With a blade size of just under 5 inches, it's a very strong piece of metal. It arrived razor-sharp, without a single spot of rust. I was able to use it for a wilderness course all weekend without having to sharpen it at all! As described, it is full tang, has a PTE grip that sits firmly in hand without slippage, and comes with a poly sheath for a little extra safety and security. At such a good price, I couldn't really ask for more.

It’s held up to a decent amount of abuse and has very good edge retention. Feels great in the hand ( coming from an edged weapons combatives guy this is a big deal) Quick to sharpen and touch up … I like it !

Great knife for the money. Sturdy full tang. Good sheath with retention. Sheath has a sown in snap strap that IMO may not be needed. Good stone ground finish. Handle is comfortable but could be a little larger. My scandi ground version came unsharpened, so be prepared to hone it up. Really nice box for the price of this knife.

I love this knife. I works with boats, so its necessary to carry a knife that can slice through rope quickly. This will do that. Razor sharp. I like the balance and weight too. Good price for what you get.

Got it because I wanted to check it out. VERY IMPRESSED with everything about this knife and the sheath. It was truly better than razor sharp and sliced through paper so easily. It's sturdy and great. Sheath is great (I got the kydex type but no fire steel with my model). I bushcraft often and this knife is incredible. If you like the Mora style knives, this one is a bit bigger which I'm good with. It is full tank with a plastic overcoating and molded handle. Spine is 90 deg and fire steel works well on it. It is designed in Germany and made in China. Chinese have been making knives for centuries and this one is a good one. If you are in the market for an inexpensive medium sized hiking / hunting / trail knife, I recommend this one. 5 STARS
