Fantastic upgrade for Corsair Keyboards!
Greetings keyboardphiles. Thought I would throw up (sounds messy) a quick review of the white Corsair PBT full 104/105 keycap set. These would be fitted to my Corsair K70 LUX RGB keyboard with Cherry Browns which I purchased a few weeks ago. Kudos and thanks to the Corsair fellow on the forums who took input from users as to whether they would like these to be made. Without him the PBT keys likely would not exist. TLDR, full review follows: Pros: -Exactly what a good set of key caps should feel like, build quality is excellent and sturdy. Time will tell how well these hold up, the race is on for cherry switch failure vs keycap wear. -Reasonably priced, some may say a little bit expensive, but you could spend a lot more for PBT and I feel happy with my purchase. Keep in mind these are niche and not likely to sell high volume, with likely a small markup. -The white on black with my K70 LUX RGB looks fantastic, like an IBM Model M bred with a stud Razer. It matches my Corsair M65 White/Black mouse perfectly. -The texture feels far nicer than the smooth stockers. -Back lighting is kept intact, though you may need to re-do some of your profiles since lighting looks different from the black keys and is not quite as pronounced. -A big plus for me is the back lighting for the numrow special characters, they are inline and back lighting is far more pronounced so my tiring eyes can see them. -Typing feels a little heavier and more solid with a good 'thump' sound rather than a 'clack'. -The white color with font is far easier to see in dark conditions with the back lighting off. I like to think that I can use these keys on another keyboard down the line without back lighting (with the exception of the bottom row, Grrr), or when the LED's on the K70 eventually start to fail. I can live without back lighting since I grew up with IBM keyboards, but it is nice when it works. Cons: -Back lighting on the numpad keys is uneven or not at all due to some writing out of range from the LED's -No really a con for me, but some may be turned off by the font (especially new abbreviations for some of the keys). I am quite fond of it though. -The extra ISO keys are a taunt and a waste, taunt because I love the big enter key but cannot use it on my USA keyboard :( Full review: The key caps on the stock K70 were the biggest weakness for me on an otherwise fantastic keyboard. They just felt cheap and unsatisfying to type on, and shortly after settling in with the K70 I began to seek other solutions for my little fingertip friends. I wanted PBT doubleshot, and unfortunately for me options were very limited due to Corsair choosing a non-standard bottom row layout, a decision no doubt instilled by a desire to soak in an Apple closed wall garden pond. I knew this going in and thought I may be able to live with the stock keycaps, but still Grrrrr Corsair! Also, the thought of the characters wearing off after a year or two was a horror just too awful to bear for me. Yes, I may be able to get replacements but, discontinued is a nasty word. As luck would have it, these released around the same time as I purchased the keyboard, yessss :) First impressions were very good. The keys arrived from Amazon yesterday, courtesy of one day shipping, in a full size retail box which was very sturdy and had full color graphics, along with descriptive text about the materials and capabilities (and how these will definitely possibly transform you into a massively attractive typing savant Batman-type person). Really, it is a nice box to just hold and stroke, I am cradling it right now! Ehm, anyway upon opening it up you are presented with two dense foam layers (which I call their nest from here out), with cutouts for each key to hug them warmly on their positively scary trip to your home with the postman. The key caps are organized exactly how they will be fitted to your keyboard so you will not have to painfully strain your memory (like remembering back to school typing lessons) or reference a picture when placing the little guys into their new home. The set comes with a key puller, but it is not quite as effective as the one that comes with the K70. I found the little nubs that snap onto the key are smaller and come loose from the key far too easily. This was not so much a problem with smaller keys, but made larger key removal difficult. Nonetheless I was too lazy to dig out the one that came with my K70 and made do. I started with a delicate plucking of one key from the NUM pad section as a trial run, and found the stock one came away from the stem a little too easily. The new PBT key slid down far more firmly, not too tight, not too loose - perfect! This firm fit continued as I replaced all the keys in that section, so far so good. I inspected some of the keys as I tore them from their snug little nest, and they are of extremely high build quality. My previous keyboard before my last was a Deck Legend which is one of the few mechanical keyboards that come with PBT key caps stock, and I can tell you these Corsair's are far nicer. The Decks caps eventually did start to shine after a few years, something PBT is not supposed to do. The Corsair PBT keys are of a rougher texture than the Deck, something I really like as my fingers feel like they have more traction and stick, like a good pair of running sneakers. As a result I feel confident these will take a lot longer to wear down. The transparent lettering is very well formed and feels completely flush with the surface. As a comparison I recently sampled some WASD key caps, and the characters were not as well formed as these. Carrying on, I removed all the remaining stock keys, lining them up in order on my desk so that I could place them into the nest for storage. I inserted the new PBT keys row by row, all fitting perfectly firm and straight. An independent review on another site mentioned some black residue on the keys, caused by the nest foam, but I did not experience this and so did not have to clean them. These keys have made a big difference already to my typing experience. I was lucky to get my K70 on sale, and with the additional cost of these keys I basically got the upgrade for the price of a normal retail keyboard. I think Corsair should include these on their higher end keyboards stock, or at least as an option when ordering for a discount. Assuming the LED's hold up, I should have this keyboard for a long time or at least as long as the two year warranty holds up. I also do not think the white color is a cause for concern with regards to dirt. Assuming you do not wallow in the mud when raining (I don't know, that may be your thing) like a hog in, well mud, then these should be fine with the occasional wipe down needed. Remember, old school keyboards did not have black keys and I do not remember needing a mop when using other peoples input devices. If this really continues to stress you out, buy the black ones when they come back in stock in a few weeks. In short, buy these if you have the extra cash, they complete the package. Can you tell I like them?

Very good. Would recomend
They look and feel amazing. I like the white color, and they're not off-tone. The RGB can shine through very easly and it has great brightness, very easy to install(no issues).

Everything will fit except for 4 buttons, 6 if you have OCD
Keyboard: K70 Mk2 RGB. Bought the onyx black, but it seems the that original black is the correct one that should be marketed as a K70 Mk2 replacement Every key fits nicely and has ample space, but there is 4 major keys that did not fit. Both windows keys, the replacement ones are too wide to fit in the smaller area. The space bar will not fix due to the female sides that maintain the balance for the space bar being too about 1/8 to 1/4 inch too close to the center female hole. The menu key also is too wide for similarly to the windows buttons. Now every key fits but if you have some mild OCD the 2 CTRL buttons are slightly too small and will look off after installing all of the keys on the left side the CTRL sinks inwards so it does not align with the left side keys similar to the right side, also there is now a noticable large gap between the left side windows button and the CTRL, same with the left side CTRL and menu button. I dont know why they would advertise this as a K70 Mk2, unless they meant its only to replace core keys then they do the job well. The feel of all the keys are nice and after replacing them i do feel that they are more durable, only time will tell but 4/5 stars just for minor gripes with not all keys being replaced. Keyboard: K70 Mk2 rgb

I was stuck at 70 WPM for weeks. These took me to 80 WPM in days.
I love these key caps! To me they're totally worth the $50 I paid. These made my Corsair keyboard feel so different by making me feel so sure of what keys I am typing, so I'm faster and more accurate now! The keys feel so stable now and each key feels like it's a much bigger target (although really they're not). I hit 80 WPM in a few days with these key caps after being stuck at 70 WMP for weeks, and then I hit 90 WPM like a month later. Plus, they're really pretty sitting on a black Corsair keyboard! They make your keyboard look so clean like white things usually do like fresh hotel sheets or snow. They feel a little bit harder than regular keys, but you will get used to that quickly and adjust your typing accordingly, so they will feel comfortable soon, almost like they break in after a few days. They're harder feel also makes them feel like much higher quality than the stock key caps. I also like the way the designers used 3 letters for all the peripheral keys like the way ESC and NUM use only three letters. It looks very consistent, and lets out more light from the LEDs, too.

Good PBT keycaps
Quality seems pretty good and much thicker than the ABS keycaps originally equipped on my keyboard. I have the Keychron K2A1 keyboard, which obviously I cannot replace all keycaps due to differences on some of the key’s dimension between full size and 75% keyboard layout. But for keycaps with exact same dimension this keycap set fits perfectly. It’s nice that o-rings are also included.

Nice upgrade
Was unsure about buying these but my current keyboard ( Corsair K63 ) had a couple of keys that would fall off. At first I straggled with the color since the keyboard is black but I decided to get them anyway this despite the fact that a black version is available direct from Corsair for more money. After installing them I actually like the contrast and they are easier to see when not using the backlighting. My keyboard is wireless and using the backlighting eats up the battery at an alarming rate. Functionally these are vastly superior to the ones that come with the keyboard. When mounting them you immediately notice how firmly these affix to the switch versus the original keys. You have to press these on with a light but firm pressure. There is no movement once these keys are mounted unlike the original set. They are noticeably thicker in all respects and have a very pleasant texture on top. The keyboard is quieter due to how firmly the keys mount. The originals would shift slightly especially during heated gaming session and you could hear the rattle. I like the effect of the backlighting ( when I do use it ). I guess if there is a downside to this it's the cost. It's a lot of money to dump on a set of keys and unless you are an avid gamer, like myself, or a professional wordsmith it might be hard to justify for some. It does freshen up the feel of a keyboard though. I read a comment on here where the poster said these should be what comes with the keyboards and I agree but there is no doubt Corsair is using these as an additional sales opportunity. They should be included on their high end keyboards though. So, in conclusion, I like these keys very much and am pleased at the difference they have made. Are they worth the price? For me, yes. Maybe not for everyone though.

Nice but far from perfect - My K70
My K70 is one of my favorite keyboards, so I decided to spruce it up. Note: all black keys cannot be replaced due to inefficient sized keys in the kit. The color looks great and the led’s look cool in slow lit room. Keys feel great and makes the board pop!!!! I don’t know why they are advertising this as a key replacement for the K70 as this kit doesn’t fit

Very good quality
For my first mechanical build I got a set of Womier pudding caps and they were horrible. Felt cheap and sounded dead. These are amazing. I wanted something with a lot of gritty rough texture and these have it! I wanted white or black but they were sold out so I settled for mint green. It's actually not bad. If you have RGB backlight, be aware purple and white will look green. Red, Green, & Blue look good though. I also like that you can read these very well with no backlight. They fit perfect on my GMMK 3 board and are very enjoyable to type on. Most importantly feel very high quality for the price.

Fantastic, solid and nice to the touch
I can't complain about the quality of these keycaps - they are fantastic, solid and nice to the touch. I used them to replace the keycaps on my Corsair K95 RGB Platinum. Backlighting works nicely, although it is a little dimmer due to the thicker material used to make the keys, but this is a fair trade off for something that is quality. I find typing is much easier with the PBT Double-Shots, as the top of the key is slightly bigger than the ABS keycaps that were shipped as standard on the keyboard, and the slight textured feel is much better than the smooth finish the ABS keys had. The set comes with enough keycaps to fill a US, EU or UK layout as well as a handy guide as to what keys you need for each. There is also a keycap pull tool included as well. On the negative side - I would like to have had a choice of space bar, one that has the same texture as the rest of the keycaps as well as the default heavily textured one. The placement of the text on the "Enter" key for the EU and UK layout needs to be moved so that it sits over where the light is, rather than sit at the top of the key where it gets little light. Also, the included guide has a tiny error with the UK layout - the keycap to the left of the "1" needs to be replace with the alternative one supplied. I would also like to have seen the set include the macro "G" keys as well, after all, this is supposed to be a Corsair set. But these are minor gripes that I am sure Corsair will address in time. I’m not going to touch the argument of whether Corsair should include these type of keycaps as default for the premium keyboards; the provided ABS keycaps are decent enough and will last a good two-three of years before needing replacement. That’s the same for any mechanical keyboard. All that aside, these are well built solid keys, perfect for anyone who does a lot of typing or heavy gaming. They look and feel nice, and will enhance your keyboard experience.

Great value high quality PBT keycaps at a reasonable price!
PBT with a lovely grainy texture slightly dished provides a accurate typing experience. Thick double shot with no moulding defects light really pops through the keys, the inclusion of o ring bumpers helps dampen the thump if your a heavy typist like me. Font is not to everyone's taste put its clear and executed cleanly. Please note you need to make sure the set code ends in NA - if you require ANSI The UK set comes with the ISO layout if that is what you require. In my opinion these are far superior to Razer or HyperX offerings in this price bracket. Nice Job Corsair!
