the MMR-99 radio is designed with a Bluetooth receiver that allows it to receive Bluetooth signals from other devices such as your phone or stereo transceiver. However, it is not designed to transmit Bluetooth signals to external devices like a Bluetooth speakers or wireless earbuds.

Do the am and fm bands still operate when the radio is in weather alert mode?

Thank you for your question. When the weather alert mode is activated on the Sangean MMR-99, all other features of the radio are disabled until the alert mode is deactivated. This includes the AM and FM bands. The weather alert mode is designed to automatically scan for and provide alerts for local weather emergencies, such as severe thunderstorms or tornadoes, and it takes priority over all other functions of the radio.
