Breathe-Easexl Nasal Sinus Irrigation Packets, 30 Count

I have been a fan of Grossan and his products for 20 years. Was referred to him by my flight surgeon due to my chronic sinus infections and congestion. I was about to give up flying . Grossan has spent his career diving and working with divers who also suffer the distress of pressure differentials ( much greater than pilots) . Divers have the advantage that salt water helps considerably as long as it is clear of infectious materials. The powered mix works much better than plain salt in clearing the sinuses and keeping them clear. For regular use I prefer the same material packed in the larger container but these are great for occasional use or travel or if you simply prefer the pre-measured envelopes. As a final note- be sure to read the directions, especially with respect to the amount of flow set on the water pic.

I've found that the half-salt, half-baking soda mixture proposed by many of the other reviewers to be not as effective as the Grossan packets. The purpose of the baking soda is to break up the mucus. Grossan's claimed purpose of its xylitol is the help the nasal cilia to be healthier. It is the nasal cilia that continues to move out the mucus after irrigation. Works well for me! I also think paying 50 cents for a little package of salt in exorbitant. Nevertheless, until someone else figures out a better way, it's worth it.

So far, I'm happier with these pre-measured packets than the bulk Breathe-ease. While you save some money in the bulk form, that one starts to bunch together over time and becomes more difficult to measure and use. The overall Grossan system works well, however.

Grossan simply doesn't burn. No burn and it just works great. I actually save and just use a half pack each time in a netti pot. Dissolve in warm clean water first. You'll save some $$$ that way. I've tried many others and they all tend to burn. The Xylitol (sp?) makes it nice and silky on your nasal membrane...feels good. Bottom line...it works. I've used it for years.

Goes with the modern version of the Neti Pot. This stuff is great--so much better than mixing up your own solution. It works great for allergies that cause you to be plugged up with mucous. I started using one when I found myself getting sinusitis repeatedly because my allergies in Tennessee caused me to produce a ton of mucus. This solution is more comfortable than what I would mix up based on info on the internet. I highly recommend.

This is exactly the same stuff that is in the 190 gram jar and naturally works just as well. But having to drag out a pair of scissors to cut open each packet is a pain in the neck. And the inconvenience is even worse when trying to adjust the concentration of the solution, as permitted in the instructions.......That requires cutting open two packets and possibly saving some of the contents of one.

Have used these for years--they are very gentle and soothing on your nose--I use them with Grossan nasal irrigator which has a bigger container to use for the sinus rinse--one package makes enough for 2 of the Dr. Neil bottles--ordering from Amazon Prime keeps me from paying shipping!
