Radioshack Bluetooth Cassette Adapter

I was looking for and found this BT adapter to use in my 2000 Lexus SUV. I really did not want wires hanging from the cassette so the BT was the best available idea instead of a new radio. It charges up to capacity a couple of hours and seems to last about 7-8 hours of play time. The instructions are simple and it worked flawlessly. Range is a little short at about 15ft - but you are in the car within 5ft of the receiver - no problem. I was waiting for a competitor's product to be released this Spring - but too bad for them. So far so good.

What a shocker! I've tried almost bluetooth music streaming device within the last 20 years! Something that should have been out and with Radio Shack's name, quality, and product support is great, only suggestions would be have call ability, charge while playing, (come on Radio Shack you can do it) other than that great sound,long playtime, easy setup and bluetooth 4 is icing on the cake. With lower power consumption and better sound/streaming quality! Great product

Wanted to love this thing out of the box, but quickly learned it was a piece of crap. Battery doesn't last long and you can't charge it while it's running. I can't for the life of me imagine why the manufacturer didn't just power the device with the action of the cassette player. Also, the charging port will last like two weeks before it breaks when you try to plug it in.

Mine works well and the battery life is good. I think it's probably around the advertised 8 hours, which is probably more than I drive my car in a month currently, so I very rarely have to charge it. However, I don't see why it needs to even use a battery and not be charged by the car. It is a hassle to remove it once the battery dies (you don't get more than a couple minutes' warning before it runs out of charge) and remember to take it inside to charge with my computer. As others have mentioned, you can't have the USB charge cable plugged in to it while it's in the tape player and have the car power it; it won't fit in that way. They should've designed it with an integrated cable or extended USB plug to connect a cable so that it could fit in the tape player and charge. I also think it should turn on and off with the tape deck play/stop; it's annoying to have to hold down the power button on it for a few seconds whenever I'm done driving (although I am usually able to do this without ejecting it).

Sound is very clear, battery time is good. Just wished it could be recharged from the cassette itself. It removed all the extra cables that kept annoying me for a long time. Brought my car cassette back to life.

Work great but battery needs charged like every 4 hrs of use

Ingenious way to bring newer technology to an older car! This doesn't have the hanging wires like similar products and works flawlessly allowing me to stream from Pandora and other sources via bluetooth. It would have been nice if I could answer calls on it as well but other than that I am completely satisfied.

Great sound especially for a tape deck, long batter life, very easy to sync every time. One of my favorite purchases in Amazon!
