Oratene Water Additive

If you own a pet then you need this to help keep their teeth clean! My vet recommended it to me a couple of years ago & it’s made a huge difference in the health of their teeth. My vet said it helps stop plaque build up on their teeth & I believe him. Before I’d spend $800 per dog every year just to get their teeth cleaned, now they go every 18 months. Hey, if it saves me THAT much money then I’m happy to keep spending $18 every couple of months. Very easy product to use, just put it in their water, stir and it does the rest for you. There’s no smell. The dogs & even the cat don’t seem to know it’s in their water. So win, win!

I've tried other similar products, giving them all a month or so to work with no success. I wanted to try this product too, feeling hopeful from the reviews. It's amazing and works in my cat's regularly cleaned fountain without any issue. He drinks water often and since there has been no change in his water intake since using this additive, I know he doesn't realize it's in there. The only change I've witnessed is positive, his breath becoming much better than I ever thought it could be. My boy is very squirmy when it comes to brushing, so I feel like this is a nice alternative to that. I've asked my vet how his teeth look every time I take him in for checkups and she's told me they look great. He's needed teeth extractions in the past, but I really believe this will help prevent any further series issues not related to genetics. I'm so happy to have found something that works!!

I've been using Oratene's Drinking Water Additive for my 8 year old pit-mix for about 2 weeks now. I was drawn to this product because it appears to be the veterinary line produced by Biotene, which is a human mouthwash that I have sworn by for years. After trying another water additive a while back, I was reluctant to try any others. It had been minty flavored (not in itself a downside, except that I think my dog was opposed to the flavor) and it caused the water to foam. Suffice it to say, my pup wouldn't get NEAR that water. That was probably a year ago, and recently I decided to look for another product to hopefully help combat her bad breath. Her teeth are in great shape, and she has been given a Dentastix snack every night since she was a puppy, but all the same, her breath is pretty off-putting. It doesn't take much of the Oratene per bowl of water - so it feels like the 4 oz. bottle it will probably last a while, even with using it (*ahem* when I remember) in two separate bowls (I keep one with her food, and one in my bedroom so she can get a drink at night if she's thirsty). I was immediately pleased to discover that it does NOT make the water foam, nor does it have a smell. In fact, my pup doesn't seem to notice it's there at all, and she continues to drink from the bowls. I have seen some improvement in her breath, and I think I'll likely see more once I get better about putting the Oratene in her bedroom bowl as well - as she actually favors that bowl in general. Overall, I'm very pleased with this product, and I anticipate keeping it on hand at all times. I will update this review once I've been consistently putting the Oratene in -both- water bowls so I can give a better idea as to how effective it has been.

I bought this to help keep my cat water fountain cleaner, and eliminate the sliminess that gets around the filter. It has been working great and also has a benefit of keeping bacteria down in my cat and Dog’s mouth.

The product is great! Five stars. Cured our dogs breath as she is too old for another dental cleaning, etc. The problem is that the item is half the size 4 oz compared to the 8oz which is sold cheaper at other sites. My fault for not looking closely at the size before ordering. Just assumed that 18.99 would be the cost of the larger bottle.

Dasher is very picky with his dog food. And water. And so far he's drinking water just like he used to do. And I've noticed the . Effectiveness on his breath and his teeth. Taste is not bothering him. Thanks again Pet King .

This product knocked my socks off. It is no exaggeration when I say that we have tried everything in the last five years and this is the only product that works. We have a senior greyhound with terrible teeth, she has already had two dentals and due to health issues cannot have another one...... Due to the fact that we cannot put her under again, the teeth that she has have to stay with her. Her breath got to the point where it was unbearable to get within 1 foot of her and this is about the fourth fresh breath product I have tried in the last few years. Much to our surprise, the odor started to fade THE FIRST DAY we used it! It used to be so bad that I would have to air out our car after she came for a ride with us because of the bad odor in the car. We are into our third week of using it and are shocked by how well it works and what an amazing job it did on the mouth odor. The most important thing with this product is to be absolutely diligent and follow the instructions right down to the letter. Because she is not a big water drinker, and because she normally have to have a lot of water with her food to soften it, I add the enzyme to a bowl of water first and then put the food in so that she gets the “ Splashing on the teeth“ effect. It took me a little while to figure out the best way we could use it but it turned out to work out beautifully. Remember that this product only works if it’s splashes around in their mouth, so for us it worked out beautifully. It’s very rare nowadays to find a product that does what it claims to do, and this one is it. We couldn’t be more impressed. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

After reading reviews I wanted to give it a try with my dogs. I threw it in the trash. My dogs refused to drink water with that stuff in it!

I recently purchased the V-Oratene Drinking Water Additive for my dog, hoping it would help with his oral hygiene and bad breath. Unfortunately, it didn’t seem to work as expected. I followed the instructions carefully, but I didn’t notice any improvement in his breath or overall dental health. While I like the idea of a simple water additive, it just didn’t have the desired effect on my dog. He still has the same level of bad breath, and I’m not sure if it helped with plaque or tartar either.

Product arrived in good time ahead of expected delivery date. Easy to use and my cat hasn't noticed any change in her drinking water. Her teeth look better - has helped with tartar build-up.

I mistakingly ordered the 4oz bottle instead of the 8oz. The 8 oz is actually cheaper. Good product otherwise. This would be my third order.
