Wow, finds Pipes, Studs, Electrical and is easy to use

In my recent project I had a need for a more accurate and deep sensing stud sensor than my 20 year old very popular big Z brand. I went through two name brand options for way more cost than this Hanmatek sensor that didn't work worth a crap. This unit works and you can see exactly how it re-calculates itself as you go along searching for that elusive wall stud buried beneath 1 inch of material. I have no idea how long this unit will keep working as I have just started using it. If it continues along doing great work it will be a fantastic value. Recommended by an actual construction user.

Easy to use, and makes the job of finding studs as well as wires and water pipes. Be patient and move slowly. May have to scan wall area a few times to confirm items.

Worth it

I tested it, but it does not work as smooth as I hoped. A simple test case seems works as expected. Maybe it requires a smooth moving speed. It consumes 26mA when on, should works for 50hours. It consumes less than 1uA current when off, unmeasurable with mA meter, so the battery should last storage life if left in it.

I had some old equipment that it was not that accurate when I got this one it made everything so easy very accurate and fast simple to use I will Recommended it very highly, excellent price for the quality that provides.❤️

I bought this device to drill my wall house to install some supports furniture, the walls are brick and concrete material and I suppose this scanner might help me to check wires and some water pvc pipes. In the manual indicates that in the wood mode it could detect some materials different to wood, and it is correct the scanner detect some material into the wall, but I am no secure if it is wood, water pipes or wires, so where the scanner generates the alert I am not going to drill there, then until this point this scanner works for me. This scanner works very well detecting magnetic metal, so in that function I am satisfied with its performance. But the big problem with this scanner is in energy wires scan mode ,it does not detect the wires lives easy, when I scan a zone many times, where I know there are wires with 120V, it does not alert. I have tried several calibration process but ever continues whit wrong results. Ironically I have to use the wood scan mode to detect the pvc pipes that contain the wires and in that case the scanner alert me, then I do not drill in that zone. I am not secure if this is a particular problem in my unit or if I am doing the process wrong, although I try to execute like manual indicates. I am located out of the United States, this was an international buy, then the process to return the scanner to Amazon is some difficult, then I will conserve it and when it is possible I am going to buy other device from other brand to complete the detection wires where this scanner fail.

Este detector de pared es una herramienta muy práctica para hacer arreglos en casa. Sirve para encontrar cables, metales y vigas de madera escondidas dentro de paredes, techos o suelos, y es bastante fácil de usar. Tiene una pantalla donde ves todo (posición, profundidad, batería, etc.), se calibra con solo pulsar un botón y te avisa con sonido y luz cuando detecta algo. En cuanto a lo importante: detecta bien metales y madera, pero los cables eléctricos solo los encuentra si tienen corriente. También puede fallar un poco si la pared tiene humedad, así que conviene comprobar bien antes de taladrar. Como extra, también detecta tuberías, lo cual viene genial para no liarla al hacer agujeros. Trae una funda protectora para protegerlo al ser almacenado. En resumen, es una herramienta muy útil y fiable para bricolaje en casa .
