Big and bulky, comfy even with the plugs opened, hard to roll up
I bought two of these sleeping mats after buying other more expensive ones for my husband and me - my teen boys won’t sleep on the old thin mats we have for them now that they know there are better choices out there. I don’t blame them, who wants to sleep poorly while camping? Not me! These are actually pretty great, maybe better than the more expensive ones I bought from the outdoor gear co-op. They do self-inflate, it takes a good 20-30 minutes. I let one re-aerate for a few hours after opening the vacuum sealed package, and the foam was plenty soft enough to support me (200#, 5’11”). I didn’t feel like I needed to add any more air to the mat; I was comfortable on my back, side, or stomach. I had plenty of room, even as a larger sized human. The thicker pillowed end is nice; it’s not as much as a real pillow would be, but it’s better than nothing. Picture shows one that had been left out for a few days next to one I had just opened for the first time. I laid on one with the vents open, and it was still pretty comfy, so even if you had a tear or a seam failure mid trip, you wouldn’t be lying on the hard ground. Rolling them up is a real chore, however - I was gasping by the end. I had the best luck rolling it once and squeezing out as much air as I could by kneeling on it, and then re-rolling it a second time, also kneeling. It got much smaller the second time I pushed air out (third photo). I was then able to easily fit the roll back into the stuff sacks. The stuff sacks are very generous, but I couldn’t get the mat in after only one round of deflating. These rolls are pretty big. This is car camping equipment, folks - you’re not backpacking with this. 5 stars - probably better than the ones I paid twice as much for and have to be inflated (and are just as big and heavy). Just realize you’re getting a very bulky camping pad.

Elegear Self-Inflating Sleeping Pad, 3
Very good mat for camping. It inflates quickly, is comfortable and provides excellent support for sleeping. The material feels resistant and helps to isolate from the cold floor. In addition, it is easy to roll up and transport. A worthwhile purchase for any outdoor adventure.

Super comfortable and easy to pack
This Elegear self-inflating camping pad is fantastic. The foam filling offers great support, completely keeping you off the hard ground. It inflates quickly on its own, and the dual valves make packing it back into the storage bag effortless. Highly recommended for camping or as an extra guest bed

Good, but torn seam after one year and four uses while be well taken care of
This product is comfortable and functional. I’ve had it one year and used it about 4 times. The most recent time that I was going to use it, about a one inch section of a seam is now open leading to the bed neither inflating nor deflating. It is now just a big peace of foam. It has been taken care of well. I am disappointed as it was nice prior to this, and I liked it. 😭 UPDATE: I am upgrading the review from 1-start to 4-stars. Upon my review, the seller contacted me quickly with profuse apologies for the defect, and despite my purchase have been just short of 12 months prior, offered me a full refund. I really respect and appreciate their commitment to me, the customer, and their product. I really do like this mattress as it is surprisingly comfortable and collapses and packs up well.

Best purchase ever.
I love this sleeping pad! Is soooo comfortable and convenient. No need to pump it with air. It fills on its own. I always have it in my car because you never know :)

Misleading thickness claim and poor moisture protection
The advertising presents this as a thick, comfortable, good-quality camping mattress, but the product I received did not match those expectations. It is advertised as 3.15 inches thick, yet mine measures only about 2.5 inches. That difference is significant for a sleeping pad because it directly affects cushioning and insulation from the ground. I used it directly on the floor of my tent and could feel dampness underneath, which made the sleeping experience uncomfortable and raised concerns about its moisture protection. Based on the product description and promotional images, I expected much better quality and performance. The inaccurate thickness claim and disappointing overnight use make this a low-rating product for me.

Big guy sleeping mat
Phenomenal. I am a big guy - 6'1 270 lbs and this had me sleeping like a baby no deflating like other blow up sleeping mats. Stayed solid and comfortable. If this thing ever goes south Im getting another one.

Great pad
This is a great pad to use for camping. The air retention is great and when using it during my camping trips, it is easier on the back because it is thick and comfortable enough. The storage and repacking is tough without a vacuum. It is heavier than modern pads and bulky. It is not very easy to use but it is acceptable of you are willing to fight the pad from time to time to repack it. Do not use for backpacking or long camping trips. It is more of a luxury pad then camping pad. It is very durable though. Withstands the hard and rocky ground and water resistant.

Dile adiós al dolor de espalda!
Me encantó!!

Bought one and liked it enough to get one for whole family
Inflate quickly. Stay inflated. Comfortable and firm. Do roll up pretty big but worth the space. My one son loves his so much he sleeps on it every night on his bedroom floor (partially due to his bed being covered in a LEGO village he made but he would rather sleep on this mat every night than move the village to the mat so that must say something about how comfortable it is. It’s been over a month and I haven’t had to reinflate it either. So turns out our camping maps are now used all of the time! Also great for sleep overs/movie nights/spare mattress in Mom and Dads room etc. very handy to have!

Comfortable. Not suitable for hiking.
This pad is not for hiking as it is too bulky and heavy. If you are driving to your campsite or have only a short walk, it is very comfortable.

This, soft and heavy’ish
I like this pad, thick and soft.Didn’t try it outdoors, but looks it will work as a good insulation. Feels a bit heavy for a long trekking, to my abilities.
