I bought this adapter to connect my iPhone to a monitor, and it works really well. The HDMI output is stable and the screen mirrors without noticeable lag, which is great for watching videos and doing presentations. What I really like is the extra USB ports and the audio/microphone input. I was able to connect a mouse and a USB drive at the same time, which makes it much more versatile than a standard adapter. Light weight with a smooth surface. I followed other reviews to plug in a power bank, which worked well to connect to the projector using hdmi cable. The hdmi did not connect instantly. It needs a return to home then restart the hdmi connection, which worked at the second try. The sound can be synced to a bluetooth speaker with some iphone settings. Overall it works well for my home projector. Lots of cables need to be connected though. Well it's an adapter and that's how it's suppose to work.

I bought this Lightning to HDMI adapter mainly for live streaming and connecting my iPhone to a bigger screen, and it works great. Setup was quick and easy—plug and play with no complicated steps. The HDMI output looks clear on my TV, and everything runs smoothly. Highly recommend!

Initially bought to used with the hdmi in my van however wasn’t working. Works okay under all other conditions

I wanted to use this to allow me to use one more of my old iPhones as permanent video camera in my YouTube/Meetup/Zoom Call studio which I use for lecturing and remote work. I have bought about 4 adapters for Lightning to HDMI conversion. Some very very cheap, and one expensive one made by Apple (which I sadly lost at a conference). In my experience all of the cheap adapters have problems. Two of them became unstable, shearing the output, after being plugged in continuously for a few days. They were "from different manufacturers" or at least resellers but they may all use the same internals. I have no way of checking that. This one, and many other cheaper competitors also cannot properly handle YUV color space video signals. On my ATEM Mini input #1 is different than the others because it is designed to be *faster* for gamers and have lower latency. So that input cannot use RGB input. Normally not a problem but using this adapter on input #1 gives you a green-base false color image. This is a well known problem, discussed all over the web. This one may or may not have worked correctly for a few hours. I only noticed the picture had a black border the next day but now the black border (about 10% of the picture diameters on each side) never goes away and I cannot tell if it was always there or if it appeared after the unit "overheated" overnight. But it is useless to me so it is going back to Amazon. I have ordered Apple's latest adapter which cost me $60+ with tax, hoping I'll get some 24 hour reliability in my multi camera setup. I have 2 old iPhones with 4K image sensors and a Zoom brand 4K camera connected to an ATEM ISO Mini Pro. They all output HD, which is good enough for Zoom calls. But I can't be fiddling with unreliable adapters because I need to focus on the the actual production of my videos and zoom calls. I only need HD for broadcast work (and that's what the ATEM accepts) but I want to also create real 4K YouTube videos. I will take the 4K recordings from the cameras into my BlackMagic DaVinci Resolve post production setup to make those. EDIT: I just received the Apple brand unit and it worked IMMEDIATELY. Buy an Apple brand or higher quality Or it’s not going to do what you want it to do.

It’s awesome that they make everything in one, now I don’t need to worry about not having the converter that I need, great product!
