Well made and saves you from a back ache.
I have seen a number of people use this for yard cleanup as well as some professionals. It was easy to assemble, required no tools and only took about 2 minutes. The handles are made from painted metal and has some textured grip material where you put your hands. The base scoops are made from a slightly pliable plastic. The material feels strong and size it will flex a little, it should work great for picking up leaves, sticks and other yard materials without breaking. My original concern was that the plastic would be hard and have a tendency to break off small pieces of plastic when it grabbed a tick or a rock the wrong way. I don't think this will happen. It should give a little and I would expect it to last for years unless you mistreat it by running it over with the lawn mower. So far, I am very pleased with it. JohnnyF

A really handy home use tool.
I bought this grabber just to test it out and I'm sold on it. This has made my lawn care much easier especially during the fall when the leaves on your property have made a mess of it. Gone are the days of raking your leaves into a pile as they turn brown and die and then burning them, in most areas there's a burn ban so you rake them then bag them and set them out to be picked up by your garbage collector. This grabber is the quickest and easiest way to get those from the pile you raked them into those bags you're using to transport them. This grabber handles a great quantity at a time with very little spillage great for doing the same with grass clipping as well. I'm very pleased with this lawn tool. Take it from the Old Timing Man, get one, quick simple assembly.

Time Saver and Back Saver
Got this towards the end of fall so only got a few chances to use it. I used to use handheld leaf scoops, which work well, but can give you a sore back from all the bending. This product was great. It picks up more than scoops, and I like that the bundle of leaves (potentially harboring bugs/ticks) is farther from my face and arms than when using scoops. Seems well made. Perhaps the people saying it broke were using it too roughly. I don't throw it on the ground, nor use it to pack the leaves down into the leaf bag. I open them slightly when they're "standing by", and they stand up nicely by themselves, unlike stooping to pick up leaf scoops. I use a 5 gallon plastic bucket to pack the leaves down in the bag, and it doubles as a place to put a few extra paper leaf bags too. Can't say how long they'll last yet, but I feel they were a good purchase.

Easy to Use, Light-weight, and Effective
I ordered this for my 80 year old father who recently got into doing yard work. He is very happy with the quality and ease of use of this Grabber. His yard has a lot of live oaks, which drop relatively small leaves, and he says it picks them up well. Assembly out of the box was also easy. So far, we'd definitely recommend this item - I may even pick one up myself!

Looks weak, but does the job.
I've used this tool for a season now and think I'm qualified to make a review. I was surprised at how well this grabber tool worked. It doesn't look like it can handle large scoops of leaves and yard debris, but it did. Four stars instead of 5 because I think the grabber would perform better if the jaws/scoops were made of metal instead of plastic. The handles can squeeze the jaws well enough, but with a full load the jaws bend a little near the shafts, leaving the ends open. This wouldn't happen with metal jaws.

Great item
I love this thing! Wish I would have purchased many years ago! Very versatile as well! Picks up a lot of leaves in one grab which saves a ton of time and you donโt have to get your hands dirty! Easy assembly!

Helps if you have back issues!
This leaf picker upper is wonderful, especially if you have back pain when bending over to pick up leaves etc. Very easy to use.

Good product, but is not a pooper scooper on a large scale
Iโm still wondering about these. I think on a hard surface like concrete they may work well, or just for leaves, maybe pine cones. I purchased to pick up poop and hay out of sheep shed that has earth flooring, and for this Iโm not pleased. It IS a well made product, love the way the handles are designed - it does make it easier to grab, but for the reason I bought it, it has not worked well. I am hoping to find other uses for it as I really like the product.

Indispensable Garden Tool
This does very well what it is advertised to do. It is so much easier than using a rake and a snow shovel like I've done in the past. The sides can be held securely together while you get it in position over your receptacle.

Back saver
Arrived as stated and very happy.will be great when dethatching lawns and autumn leaves piles. Back saving

Save Your Back!
Really nice leaf grabber (also works very well for grass clippings). I think if you treat it right and aren't too ramy with it, it should last for years. Really nice to not have to bend over a million times when doing yard clean up.

My back appreciates the purchase..
I like performing yardwork. However my back cannot bend over without difficulty. These were the perfect solution. Iโm able to remain fully standing and use the grabbers to pick up yard waste. They seem well made for the cost. This is my second summer with them. And they are still working great.

Amazing! Easy to use, light-weight
These make picking up leaves so much easier I canโt believe it. I have two big oak trees in my front yard and using these to collect the leaves, I can send grasp the two poles close to the rake parts and just put the leaves in the bag! So easy and light weight. Highly recommend.
