Very Good Little Amp
I am quite picky and want a clean, high-quality sound with plenty of volume when it comes to hifi. This is a very compact little amp (40mm high, 120mm wide and 160mm deep). It has a good quality feel and a reasonable weight to it. I am using it to drive 2 Q Acoustic Speakers (2020i) that are rated 75 watts at 6 Ohms. I have the amp connected via banana plugs. I would say the amp matches these really well and drives the speakers fully. Not too much and not too little. At max volume there is a touch of distortion but not that much and honestly whilst I do like loud music, I would not really want my music that loud in the kitchen, I have another set up for that elsewhere. The treble and base adjustment may in some ways seem old fashioned but I really like them as you can give it a little more base or treble depending on your speakers, the music and of course your personal preference. You can get graphic equalisers to add to your phone, etc, but the on-amp adjustment just seems more accessible. I am not using the bass driver and honestly I do not think I will. So why did I buy this amp when Fosi do a version with no bass driver? Well, Amazon had a discount that made this version only £5 more than the non-bass driver version. Another reason though was that this comes with a 32 volt power supply and the non-bass driver version ships with the 24 volt supply but can be upgraded to the 48 volt supply. This means you will not get full performance if you only buy the one that ships with 24 volt supply. You can upgrade on the Fosi website but not on the Amazon website. You can buy the 48volt power supply separately on Amazon but this pushes the price up quite a bit. So, therefore I preferred this slightly higher spec model that ships with the 32 volt supply from Amazon and this is the max supply allowed for this unit, I think. That was my logic and it would be interesting to know what Fosi themselves think about this and whether my deductions were correct. I think Fosi should add the 48 volt power supply option to the non-bass driver unit on Amazon. I use this in my kitchen and for me a key selling point is the size. I have built it in to the bottom of one of my kitchen cupboards and of course its small size means it is very discrete. The Bluetooth works fine. Still good volume. It connects easily and makes a little bleep to signal connection. You can also connect directly if you have the right cables. The sound quality and volume are marginally higher and cleaner when connected directly, but the Bluetooth still sounds good. My arrangement slightly compromises the view to the Bluetooth antenna, which I have rotated so it is exposed somewhat. This does not seem to make much difference and the range is still fine. I am using it with iPads, iPhones and Samsung phones. All work fine. So I am very happy with this Fosi unit but I would recommend you look at their full range, perhaps on their website before you decide the best one for you. I went for Amazon because I knew it would come quickly and be an easy return if I did not like it. I am a bit shocked and pleasantly surprised that such a tiny and affordable little unit can be so good. Well done Fosi. (Ultimately I decided to get the non-bass model with the 48 volt power supply. This does give slightly greater volume with less distortion which is why I have updated this review.)

Great value
Bought this to pair with a cheap turntable to play through the speakers of an old home entertainment centre that died a few years ago. The speakers were 2 ohm which limited my choices a bit, but I thought I'd take a punt on this little amp. So far, it's been great. Connecting it up was easy, standard phono plugs to the turntable and banana plugs to the speakers. The banana plugs weren't actually necessary as the port caps are screwable, so you can just attach the speaker cables and screw them down - but as I knew I was going to moving the whole system around until I was happy with it, I fitted the banana plugs to make it less of a hassle. The amp also has Bluetooth in, so you can play music from your phone too. I've got this set up as a 2.1 system, with a passive subwoofer and the amp drives that fine. The ONLY way this could be improved for me would be for them to add a balance control to even out my (by necessity) dodgy speaker placement. It all sounds great and for the price, I don't think you can go far wrong with this, so would recommend.

Big sound from a little box! The Fosi BT30D Pro is a serious HiFi contender at an afordable price.
I decided to give this little BT30D Pro unit a shot to see if I could breath some life into an old pair of Gale Model 4 Floor stands. I was blown away by the sound quality. They're rated at 6 Ohm, 10-120 Watts with a freq response of 38Hz-22kHz so they matched the BT30D Pro perfectly. They sounded better than I ever thought they could. I enjoyed the great range of sounds from punchy bass, warm mids and clean crisp highs. I had to adjust the volume to half way for bluetooth and back to 9-10 O'clock for my Pioneer CD player. Both sources sounded amazing, but I felt the CD player had the edge. To my ears there is a sweet spot with the volume where the separation was at its best, below that the sound felt flat. Unfortunately, there was a fault with the power switch when it arrived. I had to flick it on/off 3 times every time before it would power up. I contacted Amazon support and they were amazing and arranged a refund. I was reluctant to return it but I couldn't take the chance it might pack in completely. Despite the hassle, I decided to give Fosi a second chance, and I ordered the BT20A Pro because I don't plan on adding a passive sub. If I do add a sub, it'll be an active sub and this unit, just like the 30D, has a pre-out. Fingers crossed I'll have better luck with that one. The QA issue that should have been caught in the factory, and the volume sweet spot is why I'm docking a star.

Amazing value, amazing sound!
Amazing what you get in such a tiny package, and at such a price. This little amp drives my Mission main speakers and a heavy dual 8" passive sub-bass! It takes a little bit of fiddling around to balance out the right settings for treble/bass and the two volumes, as these interact with each other. Fed with a decent signal (from an SU-1 DAC), it gives me clarity and separation and sound stage. Class D done right, with this TPA3255 amp. My only slight criticism is that I would have preferred the control that sets the bass cross-over point to the sub-bass, to also roll-off that bass to the main speakers so there's no clash with the sub. Very impressive piece of kit.

Impressive
This little thing is the best bang for buck hifi amp I've bought. It runs a passive 12" Sub in a sealed enclosure and a pair old JPW monitors with no trouble at all and thumps haaaard if needed. Banana plugs are nice and the spacing is good for decent cables. Barely warm playing at decent volumes too. Solid build. I like the tunability for the sub especially, makes it's super easy to balance the sound for your room/application/carnival level bass requirements. Didn't expect to use the Bluetooth much initially either is it's mainly for a DJ system but it's so easy and sounds good.. All in all, great little amp for a 2.1 system.

This little box does WHAT??
It’s so small, it’s so cute, it’s so SOLID. It’s a micro beast! My Use case scenario is my old Sony micro hifi was being used for my computer sound output. I decided to put the old Sony into the garage for some tunes in there which left me with only headphones on the computer. I got my brain into thinking I would like a retro speaker set like my dad’s old bang and Olufsen cx100’s back in the day. I found some on the big auction site that were well looked after and serviced. I also found a non amplified subwoofer that fits into my ikea kallax unit but needs an amp. I found reviews saying this fosi amp could run both my cx100s AND the sub. ITS AMAZING ! It runs them all and runs them as loud as I could dare go and then some! So easy to use, and the Bluetooth is so clear with little to no delay if you use it, though I’m happy with the red and white line in from the wired headphone output on the Mac. The Bluetooth from the laptop is just the icing on the cake for me. I found a copper volume knob for sale on the fosi website as it seems the latest pro amps have it included in the box.. mine didn’t. Small caveat… you cannot turn off Bluetooth. It’s always on and ready to pair if there’s nothing currently connected. If you have neighbours with a bad sense of humour.. you might be woken with the birdy song or Agadoo by black lace at 2 am. It’s not as funny as it sounds. I unscrewed my Bluetooth antenna. Still gives a 5m perfect signal but is just too far for the funny man next door to reach it now.

Disappointing
Sound quality fails to match that of the BT20A PRO

Great quality
I bought this based on the other reviews and am very pleased. This is a great, clear sounding little amp for the money. I am into audio, have been into hifi, studio and live sound for decades and this is perfect for a modest sized living room system or as an add-on to connect to a computer so you can set up some speakers and a sub. It's amazing how a little amp barely bigger than a tobacco tin can put out so much sound. Great stuff. If I had to nit-pick I would like additional controls for the sub, to modify the filter slope, it was a bit tricky to dial it in just right but not complaining, at this price point its great.
