Great book - covers dice games I'd never even heard of, broken down by their primary mechanics and a bit of history on them as well. A great resource for players of Dice games, and game designers in general, who will benefit from the ideas to be gleaned here.

Bought as a present along with sets of dice and a large cup in which to shake the dice. never realised there were so many games to play with dice, am looking forward to being introduced to many of them, they are well explained.

Not what I had hoped for but an interesting read all the same.
Interesting read with some very handy pointers but not what I had expected. discusses more game variations and rules that you can shake a stick at but apart from a good explaination of how statistics work I had hoped for a little more infomation over the design element for dice games...

Simply the best....
Without a doubt, the best book ever written on dice games. This is the first thing I pack when going on holiday....plus a few dice, of course. 2017...after several years in and out of suitcases this is showing a few signs of wear...time for an ebook version?

Dice games really are properly explained in this well written book.
My grandchildren and I are having a lot of fun playing the various games we learn from this book as well as gaining a depth of understanding thanks to the thoughtful researched details presented. It's a treasure.
