I was in the market for a 12V 20-30 Ah battery for my DIY battery rig to power my astrophotography setup. I didn't want to spend too much on the battery alone and at that the same time I was wary of going with unknown brands and reliability. I came across the Chins battery....a brand I had never heard of. There was a super sale going on and at that price I simply had to take the chance. I saved enough funds with this battery that I could buy a cheap battery capacity tester (I did that on AliExpress). I have attached some pics of 2 full rounds of testing (fully charged, controlled discharged using the capacity tester and then recharged.....I repeated this twice). The results speak for themselves. On both the occasions, the battery delivered beyond the advertised capacity which is awesome. A few things to note: 1. Advertised voltage is 12.8V (likely because it is constructed with 4 3.2V cells in series), but as measured fully charged my voltmeter reported >13V.....which I think is normal. 2. The above doesn't really mean much because the voltage drops immediately under load and gradually drops as more and more of the capacity is consumed. (You can see this in one of my pictures ). This continues untl the internal bms turns of the battery. Again....I think this is perfectly normal. The main takeaway is the battery delivers as advertised. I will continue assessing long term health, which really is the biggest unknown with battery brands. Limited research will reveal that every mom and pop shop on Amazon sells LiFePO4 batteries, so you need to run your own tests to make sure you aren't buying a dud. Chins seems to be a good buy so far, but it still needs to pass the test of time.

Battery is straight forward for small lithium battery it uses 8mm bolt to tighten the positive and negative terminals . Used it the first time on a camping trip to power my drone batteries and worked as expected until i returned home and tried to recharge the battery again an wouldn't charge. I checked the voltage and was showing 4 to 4.5 volts I used the recommended way to bring the batteries BMS out of low voltage protection and it didn't work. I worked with Amazon's assistant and got a replacement shipped with in a couple of weeks. Hopefully it as just a bad BMS , the replacement seems to be working correctly and I have been able to discharge and recharge the battery without issue.

False advertisement on performance. I bought the battery in October 2023. Put it in use in December 2023. It is a 20Ah battery. I am running led lights of it at 1Amp/hr. So in theory it should last 20 hours. We'll, new it only ran 7-8 hours, because BMS cut the power when voltage was at 10.5-11V. 2.5 years down the road, fully charged battery only runs 1.5-2 hrs, at 0.6amps. 2.5 years is only 900 cycles, and performance is barely 20%. WTF? Lead acid battery lasts much longer.

I have this little battery for a while. I use it to power a desk lamp, that I can use when the power goes out when a hurricane hits. I don't ask much of it and its normally kept charged, so I'm not sure the degradation. I also bought one for my mom's automatic gate opener and it seems to be good.

I use this battery with a 7amp linear actuator for a small recliner chair. Once it becomes discharged, my lithium charger flashes as if the battery has a fault, or is not connected. If I apply 12 volts from another battery, it then accepts battery charging and is fully functional as new.

I'm using two of these in my RV to keep our iPhones and iPads charged. I also ran a small USB fan on my battery. I put one on each side of the bed along with chargers. I added an auxiliary port to the battery to plug in a multi output USB charger. When not using it just unplug the charger because it does use a small amount of current even when not charging anything. I connected a small LiFePO4 charger to each battery in case we had shore power or ran the generator. I could have connected the batteries in parallel and just used one charger but two separate systems were more convenient for my application. It also provided me with a little redundancy in case of a failure. We ran this for two weeks with only occasion shore power and never ran either battery down. I haven't had a heavier load than this so I can't comment about that.

This battery charged to 14.3 volts and its rated wattage. It also discharged up to 238 watts as measured after my inverter which has at least a 10 percent efficiency loss. Meaning this battery out-delivers its specified specifications. If you have checked out any of the reviews on youtube. Many if not most if these smaller batteries do not deliver on even half the wattage specified! I had to return a prior battery before I found reviews for this one that included charge and discharge testing.

My husband has a commercial fishing license and flounders on our coast almost every night. It’s his favorite hobby. We got these batteries to see how much longer they would last vs his other ones and these are great. One battery will hold for several hours to get him through most of the night. We wound up buying a 2nd one.
