I had been looking for a string of pearls to give as a gift ever since my girlfriend mentioned how elegant a pearl necklace looks while we were watching a movie. Admittedly, I was a bit overwhelmed trying to determine the size of the pearls and the length of the necklace. I wanted to keep the gift a surprise so I didn't want to ask too many questions about such things... After going to several jewlery stroes without feeling I had found the "right" gift, I decided to look online. That is when I found the Pearl Source on Amazon. After a half hour or so considering the exact necklace I wanted to get her, I finally felt like I had the "right" one and purchased the necklace. The necklace arrived in just a few days, and once the shipping wrappers were removed, the beatuiful necklace came in a quality box that she still keeps the necklace in when she is not wearing it. When I surprised her with the gift over dinner later that week, she absolutely loved it. Her eyes lit up and she smiled with gratitude for the thoughtful and "out of the blue" gift. The necklace is a quality piece of jewlery, sturdy and attractive. The clasp is a bit challenging to figure out, but then again I am a man and the ladies seem to know how these things work... My girlfirend is petite and I found the 16" length and 7-8mm pearls were a perfect compliment to her natural beauty. I am delighted to see her wearing them when we are together either in a casual or semi formal settings and even just around the house from time to time on the weekend. She loves the necklace and if she didn't already have one I'd buy her this one again in a second. I'm fortunate in a lot of ways to be in a relationship with a classy woman who doesn't long for the biggest diamonds on the market--while she has her fair share of diamonds, she is much more of a classic pearl woman. Each Christmas, birthday, and Valentine's Day (and randomly throughout the year) she has a very strong shot at receiving pearls. This was the first time, however, I've ever purchased pearls online without having touched them at a storefront or anything of the sort. I was nervous for a number of reasons--one, I hadn't seen them in person but the reviews were all fantastic, and two, I ordered so close to Christmas that I was nervous that I'd be out of time for anything as a replacement if they weren't what I hoped for. Keep in mind while reading this that we are very big fans of the Sea Magic by Mikimoto line which I believe you can pick up at most well-known jewelers. We have had a lot of luck and success with stunning products at a fairly good price--pearl bracelet, two sets of pearl earrings, and a pearl ring. They are a very well known and highly regarded line of pearl jewelry, and what this necklace was up against. I will say that price played a big role in the purchase, but be warned: this does NOT look like a necklace purchased for this price. I was very pleasantly pleased by the quality when the necklace arrived and while I would not rank it as an equal to the competing line from Mikimoto, it is a far superior value. This speaks in no way negatively towards this necklace, I'm just very loyal to the Sea Magic line. Here is what I'll leave with: If you're looking for "cheap," this is not it. If you're looking for value, this certainly fits the bill. This would not be an everyday piece, it certainly holds the appearance and quality of an occasion necklace, which is what we'll use it for. Will I still buy one of the Mikimoto ones? So overly pleased by this, I highly doubt it.

This is a beautiful necklace! The pearls are absolutely amazing. The color is sublime. The individual pearls have minimal variations in size and color. The clasp is very well suited for the necklace. This is true value for money. It's always appreciated when you get what you pay for. Overall, a wonderful experience!

Recently my house got burglarized, and a lot of my mother's jewelry got stolen. One thing she lamented in particular was the loss of her pearls. It struck deep with me, so I hopped on Amazon and tried to find what I could. I found this company, The Pearl Source, that ships out guarantees of authenticity with each of their products and seems to be (and is) very customer oriented. At $200, for a beautiful, and I mean beautiful, string of pearls, this product for me was a no-brainer. I promptly ordered these pearls, and they came in two days later. The first feeling for me was how nice the blue pearl box the necklace comes in was. The second feeling after I opened the box was how luxurious looking and clean the pearl necklace looks. Anyways, I left the necklace on her desk, and she literally fell in love with them. She said the pearls on this necklace are actually bigger than on her previous necklace. (And I just chose the medium sized necklace.) This was a perfect Mothers Day gift, and I have only The Pearl Source to thank for that, and at such great value too. I'm sure big name jewelry companies charge much more, possible over double. Highly recommended if you are kind of on a budget, but still want to spoil your significant other or valued female family member.

I must start off by saying that, my wife loved this gift for our anniversary. The pearls were shipped right away and got to my house in perfect time for me to give to her. The pearls looked all perfectly cylindrical and shiny, the clasp is a typical clasp with a nice little design. All the pearls seem strongly tied together so they should not fall apart. In the end the pearls are of excellent quality. Now the reason I did not give it 5 stars is because I have a few gripes. The box the pearls came in was blue. It is a nice blue, but it does not seem as elegant as a black box would be. Also it would be a little nicer if there was more gold, the only gold was the clasp. Since I am not an expert in buying jewelry I expected more gold. In the end since it made my wife happy, I am happy with the product.

I originally purchased this gift as a "backup" for a gift that was supposed to have arrived well in advance of the holiday in Dec 2015. To put things in perspective, I ordered this gift on the LAST day of Amazon's guaranteed "by Christmas Eve" shipping deadline. I had hoped not to be in this situation, but the original vendor I ordered a gift from in early Dec 2015 forced me to find an alternative for their item when I hadn't received it by Dec 20. Cue The Pearl Source: this is where the 14K Gold 10mm pearl necklace comes into play. I didn't have the intention of actually "gifting" this necklace to someone, but when it arrived on the morning of Dec 24, I was actually MORE impressed with it than I originally thought I would be. Later that day, before I had to give her the gift, the original necklace I ordered spectacularly showed up on time, but it couldn't hold a candle to the beauty of the necklace I ordered from The Pearl Source. The necklace comes in a box that doesn't cut corners on quality. It's nicely crafted and feels good in the hand. You can tell that there's a great deal of value in the necklace just by seeing the box--before opening it. Inside is a certification (AAA) of the pearls, indicating that it's truly made up of freshwater, cultured pearls. At the end of the night, she was ecstatic about the necklace and even after telling her the story of it being a backup, it undoubtedly should have been the intended gift the whole time. And so it became so. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a high quality, wicked priced deal. The Pearl Source stands by their product.

I bought this gift as a wedding anniversary present for my wife. Though I did not know what to expect ordering a product like this online I must say that my wife was presently surprised! The pearls are pretty and appear to be of good quality. My wife thought the length was perfect and she said the pearls were beautiful. I was also glad to see the clasp appeared to be strong and of good quality, which sometimes can be a reflection of the quality of the product. The packaging was nicely done and looked professional. We were not familar on how to open and close the clasp but we found some instrutions online on youtube which was helpful. I don't know much about pearls or jewelry but from my observations and experience from this purchase I would have to say that I received good value for my money. I really liked the fact that the pearls came with a certificate of authenticity which leads me to believe that this company stands by its product. Great Presentation!
