Great Dash Cam with Many Features, Very Reasonably Priced
I recently purchased the Rexing R4 for my truck. I have been a Rexing customer for around six years now. I started with the Rexing V1 which was a great camera. I was in a wreck a few years ago and the person tried to say it wasnโt his fault and luckily, I had footage and his insurance company couldnโt argue after I sent it. In saying that, I will never be without a dash cam in my vehicle. They are great for so many different purposes. I bought the Rexing R4 because it can record all sides of the vehicle as well as the inside if you want. A lot of road rage incidents happen beside the vehicle, so I thought this was a nice upgrade. The package comes with everything you need to install it. I opted for the Rexing Smart Hardwire Kit so I could record even when my vehicle is turned off. I prefer this because of vehicle break-ins and even hit and runs with parked cars or other damage that you could receive in parking lots. The install was easy and straight forward. I hid all the cables in trim pieces of my vehicle as well as the side compartment for fuses. The version I purchased came with the CPL filter which helps with glare so I would recommend it. The night vision is good and comes in clear. I always buy the largest card I can so I can get extended viewing in case I leave my car park while at the airport or something along those lines. I also recommend a backup card so you can swap them out if necessary. The largest card it accepts looks like the 256GB microSDXC. It does have a nice feature with collision detection so it will not overwrite an accident and marks it as so. Wi-Fi feature is also nice so you can download videos to your phone without having to take out the card and put it in a computer. Makes transferring files much easier. There is also a GPS feature that can track your speed in case you have to prove how fast you were going in either an accident or a ticket. That feature can be turned on or off. All in all, I am very pleased with my purchase and will continue being a Rexing customer.

very impressed with the overall quality, ease of setting up and price
Easy to set up and great picture quality. The GPS and speed feature is awesome and is able to be shown on your video. The cameras have a clear picture and the video playback to your phone is easy to do, or you can take out the micro SD card and watch on a lap top. Overall, I'm very happy with everything about this camera. I've used for 1 month and had zero problems or issues.

Gasket to hold the dashcam to the windshield gave out after only 2 years
After 2 years of owning this dashcam, this is what the rubber gasket that holds it to the windshield looks like. I noticed it wiggling like it was loose for a while, but then one day it just gave out causing the dashcam to fall while I was driving, and now you get this. As if that wasn't the tip of the iceberg: DO NOT buy this dasham if you own an 8th gen Honda Civic! This dashcam does not fit with the angle of the windshield on them properly, and what you get because of it is essentially a struggle just to keep the cables plugged in on top of the unit. Even there, the unit sits crooked because of having to struggle with the cables in this regard. Also, I did try using the app, and it doesn't work. The only time I tried to use it, it didn't even post the video on the app. Which essentially means in order to obtain your video as a viewable file, you have to wrestle your SD card out of the unit and then put it in your computer with an adapter. So much for having an app. TL;DR Don't even bother with this dashcam. You'll get more misery out of it within 2 years than it's worth, even after potentially struggling with the install process because of the stupid design of the main unit.

Best Dashcam on the market today
Where do I begin? I live in an extremely populated area in Florida over a million people in the county (and that's in the off season) and folks can't drive here at all, especially snowbirds / tourists. Having a solid dashcam is a must and if you're in the market for one, this is a SOLID choice. I have had many dashcams in the past and in the brutal heat of the summer here none of them have lasted. The reason being is the fact that most dashcams in the market today utilize a battery backup, soaring temperatures and batteries don't mix well, the heat causes them to swell and in turn destroys the dashcam. Rexing Dash cameras use a capacitor instead, capacitors aren't affected by the intense heat of the Florida sun. The video quality of this dashcam is superior to most that are on the market today, it is easy to install, easy to setup, has tons of features, multiple channels, unaffected by heat and has absolutely fantastic video quality!! Rexing stands behind their product, their customer support team is the best and if you should have any issues they're extremely prompt in helping you after the sale with any questions or concerns you may have. I have owned and gone through many dashcams on the market and I am thoroughly impressed with the quality of the product in terms of functionality, support and how user friendly it is. If you're in themarket for a dashcam look no further, this is the one you want, trust me!!!

Fix the app
A great dash cam with a less than stellar app.

Fix the app please.
I will take one star off because of how maddening the app is, the fact that the buttons are under the dashcam and you cannot see them, and the fact that the mini SD card is on the top requiring you to remove the camera to retrieve it, as well as the fact that I have to go into the menu every time I start the truck to turn the WiFi on so I can pull up videos/photos when I need to. Incredibly frustrating to download/save videos from the camera to your phone. Other than that I love the side views and the picture quality.

More Angles Equals Better Coverage
I purchased this as an upgrade to my older Rexing V5. The R4 contains the main, forward camera, as well as two side cameras, all incorporated into a neat little package in the main body of the camera. No need to purchase or install separate cameras for the left and right sides. It also includes a separate rear facing camera. This is superior to a dash cam that limits coverage to only the front, since accidents happen 360 degrees around the entire car. The main camera lens is also super wide vision, at 170 degrees viewing angle. The high def picture quality is excellent. Night vision appears much improved over my previous dash cam. Set up was a breeze since the camera guides you thru much of it once you follow the initial written instructions that come with it. I am temporarily using the included suction cup mount rather than the more permanent mounts since the lease on my car is coming due shortly and I may be changing cars. Basically, follow the instructions on the camera once you have plugged it in to the 12v receptacle in your car and set up is a breeze. The menus are easy to navigate and understand, so set up went quickly. Hint: don't mount it on your windshield until you have gone thru all of the menu setup since viewing the input buttons is easier. Leave aiming for the last step. The rear camera is basically plug and play, once you route the wire from front to back, I sold property and casualty insurance for 4o years and I would recommend this to anyone who drives. I can't tell you how many times I heard that the driver of the other car lied about the circumstances of the accident. Using a dash cam is the best eye witness you can have at the scene of an accident (assuming that you were not at fault). The four way coverage on this camera will make an excellent record of what really went down during any accident and I consider it essential equipment in all of my cars. I would recommend this particular camera, based on it's easy set up, features, and excellent picture quality.

MULTIPLE PROBLEMS WITH THIS CAM
Okay well I really wanted to like this. And I do for certain things. But it's not what the advertised to be. First off the parking mode bubble if you purchase another piece of equipment from rexing for an exorbitant amount on top of purchasing the camera which sort of cheaply built and it feels like it. The only night vision is on the side cameras, not the front or the rear. There is no way absolutely no way that all these cameras are 1080p. The front one may be, but even that one pixelates severely when zooming. The other ones pixelate nearly immediately after zooming or immediately when zooming. It's hard to get a license plate on a car that's right in front of you. These cameras are 720p maximum. Has a rather dinky display which is hard to see anything on. Wifi range is about two to three feet. Overall, I would probably, definitely not pay more than $75 for this camera, especially considering parking mode doesn't work. Really kinda disappointed, thought it would be worth the money I paid for it
