ETI Environmental Bamboo Fiber-Lok Non-Skid Rug Backing 16 oz

The loose carpets in our motorhome (RV) kept shedding the original backing, leaving lots of gritty dust. After removing all dust, I gave each carpet backing two coats of the Bamboo Fibre-Lok, working it well in with a brush. It has worked very well as a sealer and also helps keep the carpets in place. Yes, it is a bit smelly so best used outdoors, the smell soon goes. I found it doesn't cover as much as the manufacturer claims so be sure to buy a little more.

was very sceptical about this. Ordered a more expensive one because it had excellent reviews. Worked exceptionally well. Only moves if I forget to change vacuum setting to low.

Good item. Worked well. Please use in a very well ventilated area as a very strong smell of chemicals.

This stuff is really great. I would experiment with just doing one coat as I have found this to be plenty, especially if you have applied it liberally. It smells pretty bad when you're putting it on, but it really does the trick, and adds a bit of weight to your project which can also help.

This came all the way from America, so did take about 3 weeks to arrive but this wasn't a problem. Wanted it to seal the back of my latch hook rugs and also give them a none slip surface. This it does fabulously and is so easy to do and not at all messy. I definitely recommend this product.

This is brilliant and does exactly what it says on the tin.the reason for the low review was the very poor delivery by Amazon I had to wait a number of weeks. As it was sourced from the USA a company as large as Amazon could hold U.K. stocks. Finally last time I purchased this It was half the price the large price increase raises the question is Amazon cashing in on the Covid Lockdown?

Didn’t work ,I sent back and got a full refund thanks to Amazons great customer service team .

I was very dubious about this product but had the old problem of slippery rugs on wood/laminate floors It is absolutely BRILLIANT and I am really shouting BRILLIANT,was applied and left to dry it WORKS no movement at all in any direction It is so good that I have had to order some more to do more rugs,as I have already used a whole tub It is strong smelling when it’s being brushed on with a paint brush but once painted on I placed it in a room with a window open while it dried and now there is no lingering smell This product needs 5* plus does what it says on the tin

The old rubberized non-slip finish on 2 bath mats was deteriorating, so we purchased the 16 ounce container of this material. We scrubbed off all the old backing and were able to apply 2 coats of the Fiber-lock nonskid backing. The first coat went on quite thick and used about 2/3 of the container. We let it dry overnight. The second coat flowed on more smoothly and used less material. There was very little odor. While the mats do not feel sticky or tacky, they do not slip on our ceramic tile bathroom floor. A good product.

This stuff works. We have area rugs on tile that tend to move around so I tried ribbons of clear silicon on the rug backing and when that did not work I tried anti-slip material between the rug and the floor. All that did was to leave silicon oil residue on the floor I had to clean up. I taped off the backs of the rugs as I like things neat, applied two coats and let them dry over night. These rugs do NOT move. It was easy to apply and drys quickly. As you can see in the photo, by the time we finished applying on the left it was already dry on the right. It does have some odor but that goes away once it dries. Now I’m thinking of alternative uses for this.
