Probably The Best Corkscrew IN THE WORLD!!!
Beautifully designed and feels solid in the hands. This really is an absolutely wonderfully efficient gadget and despite its complicated look is simple and easy-to-use. It does the job of removing a cork from a bottle with panache... Buy one - you won't regret it!

Works well
Had another MONOPOL corkscrew and thought I'd try this one. V happy, both quality products. Should last a lifetime.

disappointing
Read the reviews and bought for my partner whose favourite corkscrew had just broken. Thought would go fo a really good item as he opens lots of bottles of wine! Was quite diappointed as he did not like it at all and found it complicated and difficult to use. He reckons anyone with poor grip or manual dexterity would find it very difficult particularly as it has to be angled right. Having said that it does the job and he has not had any broken corks or unopenable bottles with it and has stopped complaining after lots of practice ! Mechanism seems well made and durable

Ergonomic beauty
Proper ergonomic design is necessary to prevent repetitive strain injuries, which can develop over time and can lead to long-term disability. I bought this as a gift for my retired parents who have joined a wine tasting club. The corkscrew is beautiful in form and engineering design. The corkscrew works by trning in the same direction to grip the cork, the top cam is tipped once fully into the cork to slowly remove the cork without sudden movement. Not just for those without strength to pull a cork but for all that can appreciate good engineering principles.

a really useful corkscrew - the crew action makes opening wine really easy
I had one of these in 1970 - and was delighted to find a replacement

Mmmm not sure its worth the money
Tempted to send it back as it feels poor quality for twenty quid. Anticipated it to feel heavier and more robust. Would not recommend, sorry!

Poor design
On the face of it, this should work very well - cork extraction with minimal effort. And so it does if you have a short, firm cork. But if the cork is either long (as in higher-quality wines) or in an older bottle, you're out of luck: Most of the time this corkscrew will cut up the cork, leaving the bottom section behind. That then has to be extracted by other means or pushed into the bottle. Messy either way. Design is the problem here: The spindle is too short and the edge is too sharp. If the spindle were longer, to ensure that it reaches the end of even a very long cork,, this design would work in most cases. And if the helix had a slightly rounded edge, it would be less liable to fragment the cork. In both respects the Screwpull design is better (but unfortunately most models are too flimsy).

Screw In Clockwise & Bottom The Screw, Continue Clockwise, Until Cork OUT, All One Clockwise Motion
Truly a finely machined corkscrew. Cuts through the cork cleanly, the top cap flips over and you keep turning the same way and it pulls the cork out effortlessly. I had one 40 years ago, but my ex took it during our split and I didn’t know the name of this Corkscrew. I only knew the quality of the precisely machined threads with sharp edges, cut directly into the shaft vs. the cheap Rolled threads. which were welded onto the shaft, usually sloppily & slightly off center. I can’t tell you how many look-a-likes I bought and gave away (the difference is so clear cut 🤭 actually clean cut). Unfortunately, the write-ups don’t include an adequate description for this attribute. Full disclosure; I am a Professional Engineer and worked in the Design and Production of Jet Engines for over 30 years and Surgically Implantable Medical Devices for 10 years more. To me these Corkscrews are worth every penny and more, if you value QUALITY & PRECISION. When we had guests and served wine the Corkscrew always seemed to be discussed. Everyone wanted to try it out and since I had a few of the cheaper ones to give away, they went pretty quickly, even though they didn’t work quite as well. The people who missed out on the ones I gave away were just as happy with name and Amazon as the place to buy it. The title of this review should really say, “6255556C Monopol One Way (Clockwise) Corkscrew Wine Opening (Screw Corkscrew In Turning Clockwise To The Bottom Of The Screw, Then Continue Turning Clockwise, Until Cork Is OUT - All In One Clockwise Screwing Motion)

Un tire bouchon pour une vie
J'en ai un pour moi depuis une trentaine d'années. J'ai acheté le même pour une amie qui galère pour déboucher des vieilles bouteilles. Le produit est resté identique. Toujours aussi qualitatif.

Perfect for seniors losing arm strength
This is a lovely if somewhat expensive corkscrew. Quit messing around with the lever-type, especially if you're a senior. You won't have enough arm strength to pull the cork out. This one goes in slowly, and the cork pulls easily—an excellent product.

Einer der besten Handkorkenzieher
Unsere Familie schwört auf diesen Korkenzieher, einfach zu nutzen und man braucht nicht viel Kraft um den Kork herrauszuschrauben..
