Awesome! Love it and you should buy it! Lol
Alrighty guys. I am not paid by anyone to write this. I LOVE this electric pressure cooker. It is NOT made in China. It is made in Korea. I waited and waited and waited and waited a little bit more to see if there was any product coming on the market to replace the most popular item known as instant pot. I did my research for two years. I read reviews looked at pros and cons. I have done my research and I’m happy with my final decision of buying this electric pressure cooker. The inside is stainless steel and not nonstick coating. Outside is nice and pretty looking. InstructIons are very easy and highly applicable. You don’t need to look for more information online. I just read the manual and the recipe book and I have been using it for two weeks. After two weeks I have realized I have been missing it from my kitchen. My top concern about buying electric pressure cooker was where the manufacturing took place. Now let’s talk about working of the pressure cooker. It has cooked my high heat Indian cooking. It has cooked American food with light sauté. I have posted some pictures of brussels sprouts that I sautéed for dinner. That was my first cooking in the pressure cooker. I loved it. Family loved it. I have made rice and It cooked very well. I have made curry. I have made lentils. I have made yogurt. It is overall a very very very good product. And I am very happy with my purchase. It talks to you. The lady’s voice will tell you what is required for your recipe to start coming together. I do not mind it. She’s very happy. There is also musical start and end of the recipe. I don’t mind that either. It is overall a very very very good product. And I am very happy with my purchase. Very nicely made product and I can cook it all in one go. I have one manual pressure cooker and one electric pressure cooker so far and I think there’s nothing that can stop me now. Cooking Wise. Don’t think twice before buying this. I think this is the only one in the series that has stainless steel inner part. It was my second priority to have it the way it is after the location of manufacturing. enjoy guys. Again I am not paid by anyone. This is my honest to goodness feeling about this product.

Great pressure cooker
If you want to do more than cook rice, this is a great option for you. My kids were enchanted with the voice instruction and chime. My thirteen year old was able to use it no problem. She made buttery potatoes from the recipe book (picture attached). It made ultra-soft and flavorful potatoes in half the time it usually takes to make roasted/baked/boiled potatoes. I will definitely continue to cook all my potato dishes in it. I am also excited to try to make stews/chillis/soups, as those are usually very long and messy processes on the stove.I did have to experiment with the rice cooking function. I read all the previous reviews here. I tried the suggestion of "Steam Cook, Level 6 for 35 minutes" for Sticky rice. This result was too sticky for my taste. I tried with both equal amounts of rice and water and 1.25 ratio with slightly more water. Both times were same results (second picture in pot). I then used the RICE cook function at level 4 for 20 minutes with equal amounts rice water. This time the rice came out perfect (3rd picture in serving dish) - fluffy soft and just the right amount of stick. The cooker automatically adjusted the time for 36 minutes after it had pressurized - so that was nice that I did not have to guess at the right time.Clean up was amazingly simple. The nonstick surface was great and letting residue just slide off - even for rice! I have to say that this machine is a bit on the bigger size so be prepared to have counter space for it. On the positive side, because it is so beautiful, I don't mind keeping it out.

Works great, but not as stable in temperature and keeping things warm as my old cooker
Everything is great, and the automated voice assistant and sound effects are cute. There's lots of settings, and it cooks my sticky rice with good pressure while being easy to clean. But it's noticeably not as high quality as my old rice cooker which kept the rice perfectly warm at the same low heat for hours and hours. This rice cooker I think heats up a little too much when keeping it warm after cooking, so the rice on the bottom actually overcooks a little the longer you keep it in there. And I'm talking about the "keep warm" function after it finishes cooking. It's not a big deal, but if you want your rice to stay soft then unplug the cooker and store it in the freezer to microwave it as needed.Don't forget to clean the pressure seal on top and empty the water trap in the back. It's easy to clean!

Rice cooker and pressure cooker combined!
I own both the cuckoo pressure rice cooker and the Instant Pot. I used both for different dishes and decided to purchase this one to free up some counter space. The other two were taking up a LOT of room. So far, I've used this multi pressure cooker to make both my go-to rice (as pictured) and a chicken and vegetable dish. Both came out almost the same quality as my previous pressure cookers. I was happy and relieved to find that this muti cooker essentially became the only pressure cooker I need in our home.Pros:- EASY TO USE - I have had trouble using the Instant Pot, never knowing how long to cook and pressurize. But this multicooker takes the guess work out of it with already set functions and time. I also like that there is only one rice function. 30 minutes was the maximum time it allowed and the rice came out perfectly. (I add beans and squash to my rice if you're wondering about the picture)- MULTI- FUCTION - no need for separate rice cooker and pressure cooker! This device does it all, and frees up my counter space in the process.- BEAUTIFUL - clean, classic, white and rose gold - if only all my other kitchen appliances made me feel this good.- GREAT QUALITY - the nonstick surface makes clean up a breeze. Personally, I've never seen nonstick quality this good on other pots and pans.- interactive - lights, sounds, and whistles make the cooking experience feel more modern and luxurious. My son also enjoys helping out pushing the buttons.Cons:- BULKY - it doesn't have to be so bulky, but it is.- EXPENSIVE - but worth it, given that it serves multiple functions.

Reasonable and trusting rice cooker!!!!
First of all, I want to point out that I have been eating rice my entire life as a Japanese person and I don’t tolerate “decent rice” quality. This rice cooker was very reasonable out of all the other 150 dollar range ones. Even after reading some bad reviews on this product, I trusted my gut after researching about it on different websites. And I’m glad I did!! This one cooks rice in 30 mins which is 20 mins faster than the last rice cooker I had and cooks fluffy, and delicious rice!!!I would like to correct some negative points the people mentioned in reviews coz they weren’t true!•(this came with no instructions)—-it came with super descriptive instructions in English, Chinese and Korean!•(this cooks mushy rice) —- not true!! It cooked perfectly fluffy rice when I cooked it while following the instructions. I believe this person didn’t measure it right; you know what happens when you put too much water:mushy rice :pAdditionally I would like to point out a few more positive things about this product.• it talks!!! How great is that?! That itself was very entertaining and made me happy to have this product.• non sticky pan! Super easy to clean!• auto clean mode —- after rinsing the pan, you can simply put the pan back in and push the auto clean button and it sanitizes it for you with steam!! Amazing!I’m more than happy to get this product and I still can’t believe people talked bad about it. I highly recommend it!!!

Timer Flawed - Fundamentally Fails as a Pressure Cooker
tl:dr - Cuckoo pressure cooker timer is for total cook time, not time at pressure. This is contrary to how all pressure cooker recipes are written, making this electric pressure cooker essentially pointless for following pressure cooker recipes.I took a chance on this Cuckoo Multi Pressure Cooker over the ubiquitous instant pot. I was excited about the possibility of the automatic steam valve and overall aesthetic. Unfortunately it is getting returned. All pressure cooker recipes are written and based on time-at-pressure.This is done because once a pressure cooker has reached pressure it is at more or less a known temperature (Similar to preheating an oven). The time it takes to get to pressure will vary depending on the size of the pressure cooker, how full it is, and the actual makeup of the stuff (More liquid versus more solid). To account for this - most (probably all - I double checked the manuals for 4 popular brands) other pressure cookers have a timer that doesn't start counting down until the pressure cooker actually reaches pressurization.Design Defect Number 1Unfortunately the timer on this Cuckoo works differently - the timer starts counting down as soon as you start cooking, and doesn't take into account whether the cooker has reached pressurization or not. This presents two big challenges.Following recipes written for other pressure cookers simply will not work, because the pressure cooking times given on those recipes assumes the timer will not start counting down until the pressure cooker reaches the pressurization stage. One example of the result of this - All pressure cooker recipes require some liquid for the pressure cooker to pressurize and work. This can just be plain water or a broth or sauce. In this cuckoo, starting with cold versus warm liquids would affect the outcome of a recipe because the starting temperature of these liquids would affect how long it takes for the unit to come up to pressure. In other pressure cookers, this could still somewhat affect the outcome, but the effect would be much less since the most important thing in pressure cooking is time at pressure.Design Defect Number 2The machine does not give you any indication whether it is at pressure or not - so even if you wanted to take your own run at adjusting recipes written for other pressure cookers, it's impossible (or at least would be very difficult) for you to know how much to adjust the recipe by, because you basically have to just guess whether it is at pressure or not.I don't know how Cuckoo overlooked something so fundamental to pressure cooking. I would not recommend this unit to anyone.

Perfect Rice and So Much More. Cuckoo for Cuckoo!
Excellent rice cooker (and so much more)! So far I've used this to cook rice (long grain, jasmine, brown) with ease and consistency as well as to make soups and chicken tacos (I am hoping to try baby back ribs soon). The cooker is extremely spacious and can make dinner for multiple families in one go. It was also great for a sushi making party, cooking up perfect rice in a huge quantity at the press of a button. The party was a surefire hit (I recommend buying the little bamboo mats for rolling your sushi). The cooker itself, while easy to use, is pretty sophisticated, so I would definitely recommend reading the manual through to get the most out of your Cuckoo. According to the marketing jargon, it uses an algorithm to adjust cooking according to the quantity of rice and water, and I am inclined to believe given how great the rice has come out each time, despite my less than precise measurements (a scooper is provided, but I prefer to eyeball). On the rice side, this is certainly designed for white rice varieties, and it is cool that it can create different textures (sticky, soft, etc.), but I have also found it to be great for brown rice as well. Plus, it does so much more than cook rice, as noted by the various settings. This machine also talks! I'm not so sure how I feel about the little voice—equal parts useful, terrifying, and just plain bizarre—but there is a mute option that provides immediate relief for those that find it off putting. I am keeping it on for now as the charm remains. It can sometimes even feel cheery. Regardless, it does little to take away from this amazing machine. Go Cuckoo!

Do not purchase as a primary rice cooker
I've heard rave reviews, particularly from the Korean community both online and in-person about the Cuckoo line of multi-purpose pressure cookers so we decided to give this one a try. On the first impression, build quality is great with solid plastics and metals with included accessories like a measuring cup and rice paddle. We purchased this with the intention of primarily using it as a rice cooker and after a few rounds of cooking and keeping rice warm, the overall impression goes down. The thing speaks to you throughout the whole process from selection of function, pressurizing of the cooker, and even the release of the pressure with simulated pressure release sounds. If purchasing this for use primarily for cooking rice I would steer clear and go for a Zojirushi. It can cook rice, but not to the standard of an almost $200 rice cooker. Uneven cooking, some parts cooked, overcooked, and even undercooked. The keep-warm function has to be the worst. Steam isn't necessarily being released because of the locking mechanism meaning but even when not locked completely and kept on the keep warm function, actual puddles of steam would collect and continue to be absorbed by the rice. By the end of a 3 hour keep warm, almost all the rice would be too soggy to even enjoy. If you plan on using this rice cooker to cook small batches of rice which would be consumed right away this could be the solution of freeing up counter space for a rice cooker/pressure cooker/slow cooker making it perfect for smaller kitchens. Otherwise, if you're particular with your rice and prefer to keep rice warm for several hours skip this pressure cooker and shop for a dedicated rice cooker.
