Unexpectedly good
I was a bit skeptical due to the refurbished part, but pleasantly surprised. It’s been up and running for about a week and so far saved me about $100 that would have gone to Starbucks. Good quality and consistent drinks. You can tell the company cares about their customers and wants to make sure you understand how to take care of it to ensure its longevity. They carefully packaged it with a bright green “Read me” letter at the top of the box summarizing important setup and maintenance information before you can even take the machine out of the box. The one drawback so far is how incredibly loud it is. If anyone in the house is still sleeping when you use it, they won’t be for long. The milk frother is the worst. My husband asked me if I brought the air compressor inside.

I recommend this to all friends and family.
I love our espresso machine. We make the coffee, espresso, and macchiato along with hot water options quite regularly. Every one of which works great! It is so easy to use. It isn’t terribly loud, I feel like it is pretty average in comparison to most machines as far as noise goes. It would be nice if it held more water than it does. We drink a lot of coffee and are refilling it regularly. It hold about 12 oz of beans in the bean holder which is a good amount! Overall price for quality, this is a fantastic machine. This is our second one, and neither of ours has ever had any issues. The first one we had for 5 years only to replace to try something new. We immediately went back to this brand because the other one sucked.

Really nice.
So far we love it. I was a little apprehensive on buying a use one but very pleased with it. Love how easy it is to use. You would never know it was used before.

Do Not Buy!
Hello, I was a barista for a year and then a bartender, so I’m used to a few espresso machines. I saved up enough to replace my manual MR Coffee machine, and I wanted one that could make lattes and had a bean grinder. My first disappointment with this machine is its limits. It absolutely cannot froth more than 6oz of milk max each cycle. If you want a 20oz latte like me, you’ll have to run it 2-3 times on max milk setting — but there’s no way to turn “off” espresso, so you’ll also be forced to pull shots for each milk. Second, I tried switching between automatic grind and my own beans and the machine malfunctioned. I tried cleaning and all of the Philips recommended settings, but to not avail. This machine is not worth more than $90. Your money is much better spent on a cheaper Mr Coffee model.

Great Machine for a Great Price!
I have had $300 espresso makers and $2500 super automatic espresso makers. This one falls closer to the top of that scale. The level of foam and the taste of the espresso quite as good as the $2500 machine I used to have., but honestly, I haven’t even tried to figure out if I could make adjustments to fix those items. Overall, I am very happy with this machine. I have had it for about 11 months now with no problems. As usual, I bought it as a referred model from Seattle coffee gear. This is my fourth machine to purchase from them as a refurb and I’ve never had any issues with any of them until they were six to eight years old at least. I hope this one lasts that long as well. I have always use the Phillips / Saeco brand.

Amazing conditions no question!!
I hesitated to buy refurbished but it was certified and tested, saved me a lot, used gift cards and paid the rest, so it was a steal for me, the machine function perfect no flaws, obviously you have to do your work and watch videos, compare to know the difference of what’s out there, Philips never disappoint at all. Makes great coffee for espresso lovers who work early and wants to boost their dopamine, I will advice not to use the instant coffee if you don’t want to worry about cleaning and overtime it may get rotten from inside. Just espresso bean coffee, love mine, thank you. Shipping was super fast and careful the way it was packaged and handled as the seller left notes to handle carefully. Will definitely recommend this seller store.

As good as machines that cost double.
Coffee, Espresso, and frother all work as advertised. Mmmm...tasty. It took a few days to adapt and to learn the quantities for each drink setting, but once adjusted, it is very good. one machine replaced, Kuerig, Conventional brewer, and grinder, plus no more pod trash.

Surprisingly good
I bought it to replace my 5 years old gaggia Brera. Before that I had a delonghi magnifica (lasted only one year) and another gaggia (lasted a couple of years. Our machine is on every day from the morning cappuccino to the last after dinner espresso coffee. This new Philips machine seems to be a development from the gaggia Brera ( yes I have then found out Philips has purchased gaggia) but lot better with additional choices. Cappuccino/latte macchiato and espresso are very similar to the ones you can have at an Italian bar. And without knowing I have bought a refurbished machine but it is looking a brand new machine. No imperfections or missing parts. I realized it was reconditioned only because of the note I have found in the box. So far so good. Hope it will last for the next 5 years.
