LOVE This Controller & NICE QUALITY for the $$$!!!
A GREAT DIGITAL MIXER for a GREAT PRICE & HUGE BONUS with their FREE Software & DJ Academy. One of the main reasons I went with the HERCULES brand. Very easy to use as well and I will provide the PROS vs CONS below, which is just my opinion. ~ I was torn between the Hercules 200 MK2 and 300 MK2 as well as other controllers on the market in this price range. I finally decided on the 300 model after doing lots of research on the more popular digital controllers in this range, and I am super happy with my choice. As an amateur hobbyist who loves to mix every once in a while, I knew this was the perfect fit for me. I also use to mix vinyl many years ago, and may want to get back into that in the future, so it is nice to know I can hook up other equipment and turntables to this controller if needed. PROS: - GREAT VALUE for the COST - Comes w both free DJ software, which are very user friendly and easy to download. Love that each song can be analyzed then organized quickly into folders that you can create showing the BPM, KEY & other useful info. - WEIGHT of the controller is decent for the size, so doesn't feel cheaply made. Not too heavy or light, but I would say a little on the lighter side. - BUTTONS & KNOBS also have a nice feel and the EQ has little stopping points at the halfway mark - There are a good number of HOT CUES (8 per deck vs 4 per deck) - BEATMATCH guide is great to have which I only tested out and prefer not to use. There is a button to turn that off (lights go off which I love) and that took me a while to figure out w/o looking closely at the user manual, etc. - HOT CUES to set many points within a track; great feature when you mix the same track at different cue points depending on the various tracks you will mix with it. Another reason I decided to go with the 300 MK2, but having 4 CUE POINTS like on the 200 should be fine for many DJs - HOT CUES for STEMS & LOOPS and you can permanently save the loop on one of the HOT CUES (I've only done this a couple of times and still need to practice this because having difficulty for some reason). - JOG WHEELS are a GOOD SIZE and decent WEIGHT (I don't know how they would be for scratching) compared to many smaller or medium sized controllers. Also larger than the 200 MK2 which is another reason I decided to go with the 300. - I like that you are able to use both the SOFTWARE and CONTROLLER to manage the decks, EQs, STEMS, TEMPO, ect. - Nice to have a variety of FILTERS / EFFECTS - and High, MID, LOW RANGES (MK 2 I think only has the High & Low range, but the Mid range can be engaged in the actual software - CROSSFADERS & TEMPO FADER seem to be decent quality (a little lightweight) and no issues a year after purchase -- including static noise like the name brand mixer I once had. If those were to wear out I am not sure if they can be removed and replaced, so something to be considered. CONS (not really anything major IMHO): - CORD it comes with to hook from controller to computer or other is a decent length, but I opted to buy a longer cord. - Limited outputs in the back - There are 2 BACK INPUTS next to the RC cable inputs, but I didn't investigate any further and didn't see any info about those. Maybe more info. can be found in the USER'S MANUAL posed here on AMAZON because I didn't find that in the box the mixer came in. - I personally had issues with SAVING LOOPS on individual HOT CUES, but I am still learning and an amateur. - The FILTER isn't as dramatic or intense with my simple setup, but maybe others have a different experience and can get better sound with their equipment. Hope this honest review can help some of you make your big decision : ) Thank you for reading and A BIG THANK YOU to HERCULES!

Awesome Beginner DJ Controller with Helpful Beatmatch Guides
This controller is perfect for learning to DJ. The rubber pads feel responsive, the layout is easy to understand, and the beatmatch guides really help you train your ear. Serato DJ Lite runs smoothly with it. Great build quality and lots of features for the price.

Sounds Great with a pair of Edifier bookshelf speakers
This is a great entry level controller, I did have a head start tho with a music background. I did learn a lot just by trail and error, at first I wasn't getting any sound out, till I moved the fader up to bevable to hear it...geeesh, also took me a bit of time to move from one track to the next, but with the extended intro on most songs from TIDAL that soon became a breeze just as long as you remember with side you were playing on the right or left. Hook up was a breeze to my laptop and using Serato as my main program everything worked great. I did learn some things so for an entry level controller it's a perfect match. If you make a mistake then get right out of it and go on playing. I did hesitate a bit on starting to use it, you se shows on TV with guys using one and going all over the place, but it's not really that way when start using it. I can't say enough good things about this controller. If your into Karaoke then this works for you too, you can take out the lyrics and sing along with the song. If your lookin for an entry level controller this is it.

Great Value
Works very well with Linux Mint 22 and Mixxx. The jog dials, cross fader, and sample pads are satisfying to use and are fine for basic work. Sound quality of the headphone port and main output are fine with good headphones and good amplifier/speaker setup. Personally I don't see a reason to spend more; instead, invest your time in building skill and understanding how to entertain people. When used in combination with an Akai APCmini MK2, QLC+, and some DMX lighting you can go pretty far on a budget.
