Worked very well for making longer 2x4s and 2x6s for my cow barn. Installed using a flat piece of steel and hitting it with a sledge hammer on my concrete floor. Super easy.

Holds wood together great

I had some new trusses delivered and one of the plates was poorly installed such that only 1 row of teach were in wood. I tried to find replacement plates and no one had “truss” plates except here on Amazon. The difference between truss vs just mending plates has to do how the holes are punched…truss have offset holes whereas mending have them in the same vertical alignment. These have the offset hole pattern so they are intended for truss or vertical load applications. These plates worked just fine for reconnecting the web back to the top chord. However, there is no info on the tensile or compressibility strength of the plates, neither on Amazon or on the box received. Given that these plates were listed for truss use, they should strength numbers listed.

...but they won't work with OSB or particle board.

Great price, used to hold down stall mats with no issues. Creates a slight raised feeling on the corners where we bound down the mats but not enough to bother you.
