THAT IS LOUD! Loved it
THAT IS LOUD! If you're a commuter, it could save lives! Batter lasts long, easy to install on the bike and it fits a big variety of handlebars, the button works fine, it really alerts people and cars, very loud, the loudest I ever had considering the battery and size. Really recommend it.

Very loud, very good
I have had this for a couple of months now, riding on everything from urban residential roads, to cycle ways and bridle paths. It is an excellent product, very loud (in both sound modes) and seems more than adequate to get the message across to both pedestrians and all other road users. In addition, it's worth noting that the switch (which you put on the handlebar or grip) is easy to use while wearing gloves, something that has been a problem for me with other more conventional bell designs. If you get one of these, put the batteries in and take it outside before testing... you might be surprised how loud it is in your front room!
Y**!
It is very LOCAL loud and hurts your ears!. Great otherwise.
This is a review of the Hornit dB140 Bike Horn V3. I bought this cycle horn because I wanted something that could warn drivers if they had not seen me and help prevent accidents. At around £30, the product is expensive, but I do value my safety. I already have a regular bell, but motorists cannot hear it. The regular bell is fine and gentle for riding in parks or quieter areas, but largely useless in busy road traffic. Pros and Cons Pros: It comes with two handlebar mounts. Cons: Battery compartment: The battery compartment requires a very small screwdriver, which is a major flaw if you need to change the battery on the go. It uses one of those tiny watch-style screws. I managed to open it with a regular narrow regular screwdriver head, thankfully, but in my opinion it is a poor design choice. Uses 2 AAA batteries. Storage box: The supplied box is too tight. If you need to remove the horn, it can be difficult to put it back in again. Danger to hearing: This thing is loud. However, I think it is more of a “local loud” rather than sounding like a full car horn. I could see it hurting my eardrums, so it is best used sparingly Settings: It is hard to tell which sound setting is currently selected. You will still need a regular cycle bell. I use the bell for pedestrians and the Hornit for road traffic.

Very Loud
This horn is very loud. I cannot fully describe how loud it is, but I can say that you don't want to leave it on too long as to damage your own hearing. I would definitely not use this with cyclists or pedestrians on residential streets as it would cause unnecessary alarm, but it is great for busy urban environments (or any instance where cars are involved). Installation is quite easy; I had a bit of trouble finding where I could place it on my mountain bike to be within reach while I pressed the brakes, but found on the handlebar next to the gear shifter was the best place eventually. The cable linking the button to the horn is not long enough to go from one end of my handlebar to the other, but that is probably good as you don't want unnecessary cable clutter. Mounting the horn each time is very easy with the Garmin mount as well, and is physically not as large as I was expecting it to be, so it's easier to store. To be honest I prefer the lower-decibel horn mode to the higher-pitched one; it's still likely loud enough to be heard inside a car and causes less confusion to people on the road. I would only use the high-pitched one if cycling through a city centre at rush hour, which can be done through a dedicated button on the back of the horn. I would recommend this to any cyclist using semi-busy roads, but it's probably not necessary if only using cycle paths.

Bloody loud
Very very loud. Love it. Saves me swearing at people. After many days of rain, unfortunately it is half as loud and works intermittently now. Back to swearing at people again. I even taped it up to make more waterproof but to no avail. Worked well for about 10-11 months.

Old people can't hear my regular bell
Tired of ringing my bell 10+ times for old people who never hear me, with this they will hear me now.. tested it and it hurts my ears so that's a 10/10 for me!!!

Nice and loud
Great for letting old people know you dont like them. I wear them like rings and can now sonic blast my enemies. Good quality everything and very simple to install on a robodog and send after the postman. Great value for funny

Great product. Recommended 👍🏻
Really great horn! Genuinely loud. 2 modes. I would say this is a necessity for safety while cycling. Not too difficult to install. Recommended 👍🏻

OMG that is LOUD!!! So bought one for myself too!
Purchased for my wife a few days ago and received it today. Tried it out with a couple blasts on each setting. this is incredibly loud...so much louder than any of the video reviews shows it to be. Louder than we thought it would be...VERY VERY LOUD!!! We are talking seriously loud. (you got my point by now I'm sure). Great for mountain biking to scare any bears off the trail and great for a touring bike or road bike to alert vehicles that they are about to cut you off and loud enough to make any charging dog turn tail and run. I would say it's as loud or louder as the Airzound Horn I've had for a few years. So I just purchased one of these Hornits for my road bike. My new goal in life is to get every cyclist I know to get a Hornit db140 horn.
