Great game in unique setting
This was the second case file we tried after the Harmony Ashcroft case, but we also played a few from other companies as well. It was a really good game, probably my favorite so far in the genre. The story made sense and the clues were subtle but came with many satisfying aha-moments once you figured something out. This was a great level -challenging requiring attention to detail, but not too hard, and a lot of variety in difficulty and in how to solve each objective. Very unique setting, which I think they take advantage of in a good way when designing the game. Overall great game! Took us about 5-6 hours, including carefully reading each document and discussing everything in-depth.

Great game
I have brought a lot of the Unsolved case files and my wife and I absolutely love them. the game is easy to follow so you don't get overwhelmed with the amount of information. The photos are very good quality made with sturdy card so it wont get damaged easily. You are getting a lot for your money and great game to play with friends and family. You do feel like you are an detective trying to solve a case and it really makes you think.

Gripping, engrossing and engaging
We loved this murder mystery. It was very well written, the clues were not obvious but not obscure which meant we all felt a sense of achievement when we worked them out. Not the easiest case but well worth the time and effort. Highly recommended.

Repetitive busywork with an abrupt ending
Most disappointing game I have played in the genre. The material is beautifully presented but the team behind it focussed to much on hiding as many clues as possible in the pictures alone. Even when expecting this after playing ‘Harmony’ it’s still to repetitive. Beside from busywork with a magnifying glass there is very little mystery. It is just a sequence of combing out pictures with a magnifying glass and than being spoon fed new information. Also beware for the final piece of evidence. The audio you are guided to in the end immediately tells you who did it, so after hours of going through evidence and comparing theories you are abruptly given the answer in the audio. Opening the final envelop basically confirms what they tell you themselves in the audio. This game misses the enjoyability you get from reading through evidence. All is focused on using your magnifying glass to answer questions at which point the game itself gives you answers. So you don’t have to think about which documents are important they will tell you. For fans of the genre I would suggest sticking with games from Cryptic killers, hunt a killer, IDventure, … . If you do want to play this game think of it more as an exercise in combing through pictures and don’t listen to the audio unless being certain of the culprit, because the game ends when you press play. The final envelop is more of an epilogue.

We very much enjoyed this game. It’s nice to work together to solve the crime. Super for teens! I bought additional games.

"How's the sleuuuuuuthing going?" my husband asks as he bustles with one of our young children past my flurry of newspaper clippings and crime scene photos. I snatch up a paperclipped stack of some actor's witness statement and interrogation report and directly into the eyes of that actor's best headshot I screech, "I KNOW IT WAS YOU, YOU SON OF A BITCH. I JUST NEED TO PROVE IT."

I absolutely love this brand and series. I work them alone because my family and friends aren't into thesse but I can NOT get enough of these. This brand is the top of the line. I work all of them. Its fun to play but not so difficult that you get frustrated. The time is a reccomendation since I take my time to make them last as they can't make them fast enough. The best thng is they are all explained once you solve them. You get a definate answer. Some other ones do not. Just say congratulations and you're done. This one uses the internet and is absolutely the best out there.

I love solving mysteries. This one took 2 of us a couple hours. There was A LOT of reading, but it was very fun. I loved how it included an "online" part for multiple steps ans at the end I felt like a real "hacker". This game was very thorough and very well thought out. I really enjoyed it!
