This 2nd volume of art for Elden Ring comes in well constructed hardcover book. It's shiny on the outside and comprehensive on the inside. It mainly covers weapons and armour and a massive bestiary of creatures from the game as well as some other bits and bobs.

The book is thick, the prints are high quality and there’s a good variety. However quite a few of them span over the centre line, obscuring a lot of detail. I would have also liked commentary or some kind of text explaining each image.

These two books were pretty disappointing in terms of content. They're well-made, but there is not much in the way of showing development (Dark Souls 1 Design Works was probably the best in this way). The art is generally a picture of what you see when you play the game; this may be what some people want, but it would have been more interesting to see how they developed the look of the game rather than just printing out what we've already seen.

Please take a look at the photos I've attached. I purchased the Elden Ring Art Book Volume 1 & 2 both as a birthday gift for my spouse who likes to collect art books of games. Volume 1 was delivered from the UK, in perfect condition, and he is pleased with it. Volume 2 was delivered from America and it does not look like in new/perfect condition. There are damages to some of the corners of the hardcover and on the side too. He did not remove the veil yet to check inside, but it does feel like a rip-off, given it even cost ~£4 more compared to Volume 1. For the amount of money I had to pay I would expect a product in a much better condition.

While there's plenty of well-made, highly detailed art in this book, almost every piece of character art just shows the final design for the character. There's no early designs or designer interviews explaining their influences, which is a shame as it would have been interesting to hear some insight about how they came up with some of the bosses. Still, the art you do get is very good, and the print quality is good also.

I bought this for my Elden Ring-obsessed boyfriend, and now I’ve been demoted to second place in his life—right after Malenia, Blade of Miquella. He hasn’t stopped flipping through the pages, muttering things like, “I need to build a shrine for this art.” If he’s not poring over the intricate designs of Tree Spirits, he’s trying to explain the deep lore of Radahn’s gravity magic to me (again). It’s a gorgeous book, though, so I’ll let it slide. At least when I yell, “Roll!” during fights, he listens now. Highly recommend for the Tarnished in your life—just be prepared to lose them for a few hours (or days) to its mesmerizing beauty.

Great compendium of illustrations. Lovely art. Good delivery. Worth every penny if you love the game.
