Bought this to replace the remote sensor for a unit that I purchased in 2019. The unit picks up the remote sensor without any issue. Lesson learned, I will place this remote in a more shelter area to better protect it's color (the old sensor turned to pale yellow). The readings seem accurate. The 2 AA batteries (not included) last a while. The sensor size is small and there are holes to drill into a surface. But I am going to attach chain to hang it instead (in case I need to change to a different location later). Overall, I am glad that I can purchase just the remote sensor because the unit itself is working great. Amazon sells a weather station with a remote sensor for about $17 more though.

I purchased a LA Crosse weather station several years ago. I love the accurate temperature information for outside and inside of our home. Well, as it goes, the outside wireless sensor went bad. It would sense the wrong temperature to not work at all. The new outside sender linked up right away and has been working perfectly.

Works great but a darn shame it cost almost as much as the color thermometer display it is sending to. Darn it!

Works with my older indoor readout. It's pricy but saves paying full amount for the whole package. The old outdoor sensor had stopped working. Make sure the sensor you order matches the indoor reader.

Was skeptical but having issues with my old sensor. Upon pairing this one I have had no issues with losing signal yet. Better than buying a new weather station. Does what is supposed to and that's all I can ask.

We have three weather stations. We purchased this because when we moved from Maryland to Florida we thought we forgot to pack one of them before we left. We didn't get a chance to fully unpack until nearly two years later because we were temporarily living in a rental home waiting for our retirement home to be built. In the meantime, we found that several weather stations can work off of one sensor. Once we were able to fully unpack, we found the old one, so now we have a spare and apparently these things last forever because the extra one we purchased is already over two years old and is still in the original box.

I had purchased this to replace the old unit that had failed after many years of use. It connected as soon as I hit the sync buttons. It worked great for about 11 months until tI lost communications. I brought the sensor in and did some troubleshooting per manufacture guidelines. After letting it sit, I finally got around to getting it to work and it connected again and I moved it outside. It worked great for a few days and then started sending some crazy numbers. According to this, Hell Froze over at -58 F. The real temp here at the time of this review is 16F. Since I am past the warranty, I'm not sure if I am going to buy another sensor or just replace with a different brand of weather station. When it works, it connects easy to existing compatible receivers. Set up is easy and batteries last a long time.

LaCrosse weather station stopped showing outside temperature. All trouble shooting failed. But replacing the outside sensor did the trick.

I gave it a 4 stars because it works but for how long!, and no instructions are included!
