Microsoft Surface Book 2 13.5" (Intel Core i7, 8GB RAM, 256 GB)

Day 1 review: Works right off the bat. Much faster, lighter, and more well designed than my older laptop. Package came quick, and in brand new condition. If the surface book 3 is our of your price range and you want to upgrade from an older laptop, the book 2 is the perfect one for work, school, and on the go.

SurfaceBook 2 has exceeded my expectations. It is a great choice for creative professionals. Another architect recommended it to me as it can run (or walk) Autodesk Revit on it. Revit and other design applications are quite data heavy and mostly don’t run on the sleek secsy laptops but this is an exception. Even though I did not get the best RAM made for SurfaceBook2, I did get a i7 chip for this purpose. This way I am happily always at work (please don’t feel sorry for me, I love my job). The tablet feature adds a big bonus to this package because this way I don’t have to carry an extra iPad for those times when I am traveling and want to use my fingers on photoshop. I have the 13” size. I feel like it is quite optimum in function and portability for going to work everyday, traveling, etc. given that you have a desktop at work because if you work on CAD or BIM like stuff, it can be harsh if you solely work on a small screen. I highly recommend this product.

I bought this back in September from the "Perfect Trading Inc" seller. Waited until now to review incase any problems came up, but none have and it has been flawless. Had an initial problem with a cracked screen out of the box. (Even though it was a brand new surface book 2) However, they were very responsive and got me a new unit out within the week. The computer was the Surface Book 2, 13.5in i7 8gb ram 256gb SSD. It was as described and brand new unopened. I read some people may have recieved used or refurbished computers so I had microsoft check mine and it was indeed new. This is a great computer for productivity with an astounding battery life and even better performance. Can easily play any modern game (though sometimes heat can be a big issue in computers like this). I would recommend this to anyone looking for this class of computer.

I initially purchased a Surface Book over competitors because of the great screen definition, as I am an amateur photographer, and screen definition was important to me. I also use it daily for work as a software trainer, which requires a Windows computer (I was and still am an Apple fan).. At 4 years the screen began to have a yellow mark at the sides, and after research I learned about a problem with these computers, which is an expanding battery. Now the screen is bulging and it is unsafe, Microsoft will replace it up to 3 years, but will do nothing for me, other than a $600 “repair” which I may do, to have it as a backup. When stores were open, rumor has it that managers were doing this for free, but they are permanently closed now. I use this laptop for work, and if It is out of commission, I am out of work. With a failing computer,, why did I buy another? I still love the screen, size factor is good (I travel with it regularly), and the keyboard is comfortable, but the white backlit key color blends into the keys, so they are hard to see, one of my few complaints. I have been through multiple chargers, the Microsoft OEM chargers have died after a short period, developing a short at the connection to the computer. The new model seems to have a thicker wire, so I am hoping that it lasts longer, but the third party chargers I finally learned to buy work great anyway, and I have backups if I need them. I found this at a fairly good price, so there you go. This was an upgrade to an I7 chip, my first is an I5, for the use I give it I haven’t seen much difference. One tip, I just went from a 3.5mm connector headset to a USB headset. With the former, I had to use an amplifier, and ultimately the computer stopped recognizing the microphone. With the new headset, the sound is much louder, amplifier is not required, and it worked immediately upon plugging it in.

Best laptops I've ever used! The design, the display, the trackpad, everything is just amazing and flawless. The metal body and the unique design stands out in general. The battery life is phenomenal with 8-12 hours of usage depending on type of user. This is one of the most powerful laptop in this kind of footprint.

Please beware if you ordered the 13.5 inch, i7, 8gb ram, 256 SSD surface book 2. The price seemed like such a great deal, so to me, it seemed like a no brainer. Yet, I understand now why the price point is so low- the product I got was a surface book 1. this has happened to many people and so I filed a formal complaint with Amazon to figure out why this problem has been happening since November of 2018. Also for all of the people who bought and had difficulty with the Nvidia graphics card, I might have some explanation (at least with this version). When I turned on my laptop there was a small link to the Nvidia graphics card, but it didn't really have much going on, I didn't think twice about it and just ignored it. Then I discovered that my laptop was broken (the tablet was at 0% and wouldn't charge, so I could detach it or charge it). I worked with Microsoft employees for at least two hours to get the problem solved. After installing new drivers and diagnosing the laptop, they said it was not fixable. While this process was happening I found out that the device didn't even have an Nvidia graphics card wasn't in the laptop I got. So whoever sold this product, was selling a Surface book 1 (which cost $979 for $1445). It's pretty hilarious honestly, especially the fact that it has been happening for many months. I wonder if I got one of the laptops that were sent back by another Amazon customer... I don't really know, but I wouldn't be surprised My main questions are: | why are these products still being sold? Are the sellers recycling their products? Did the sellers make money from this? Also, why was the advertising on the Amazon page false? Is the new seller (Perfect Trading INC.) actually selling brand new surface book 2 with i7 core, 256 SSD, 8gb ram and Nvidia Graphics Card? But, for everyone else who had to deal with the fraudulent business practice, I hope something can be done.

I am a film Student, and this laptop does everything I need it to do for class! It is also lightweight and fun while many of the computers with the same amount of processing power are bulky and heavy. It does everything a MacBook is capable of doing and more, and for a fraction of the price! l highly recommend!

My fiance bought this as an art tablet and laptop replacement. She is in love with it and it's done everything right so far. The battery life is decent and she will use it for a few hours straight doing what I assume is resource-intensive design with room to spare. We impulse bought this because we were already looking around and this is a ridiculously good price. We're happy so far. Some people seem to report bugs or other malfunctions which we have not had at all. Have only had it for about 2 weeks so I'll update if anything changes.

Este dispositivo es uno de los mejores equipos que puedes comprar en el 2018, no hay nada parecido a esto en el mercado, tienes unas especificaciones muy buenas y la calidad de construcción y el teclado son excelentes, mucho mejor que una mac. PERO yo uso esta computadora de vez en cuando para jugar (específicamente Starcraft 2) y debido al formato de pantalla que es de 3:2 y la alta resolución que tiene, si quieres jugar tu juego sin ninguna barra negra o sin que se vea pixeleado tendrás que jugarlo a la resolución de 3000x2000 que es casi 4K, lo que quiere decir que tendrás que bajar los gráficos del juego a niveles medios o bajos para poder tener una experiencia fluida, en mi caso con Starcraft 2 lo juego con gráficos Altos a más o menos 45 fps. Si quieren comprar esta computadora para jugar juegos de vez en cuando es un punto importante a considerar.

I made the decision to sell my slightly aging gaming tower as I started into a Information Design program at school. So I needed a portable, high powered, all in one laptop to replace my desktop; while also meeting the needs of a student. I do not think there is a laptop on the market that could meet all these needs better. The display is perfect for video and photo content, the size factor is the right mix of large enough display and keyboard, while still fitting comfortably in the hand and backpack. Touch screen and tablet functionality is perfect for my usage; as I am not a digital artist full time. I game on this thing consistently, mostly FF:14 and lighter title's but I also completed DQ:11 and it ran great; the i7 and 1050 will handle everything besides the most demanding of PC titles. The battery has never died on me. Full school days and work days without a charger with me and I've only ran it into battery saver twice, both times because I forgot to charge it the night before. (you CAN charge with a Usb type-C powerbank if it is the proper wattage!) I am extremely pleased with my purchase decision and in the premium laptop space, you aren't easily going to find anything that feels this nice and performs this well.

Got it today. This 13.5" i7 comes with 1.90GHz 2.11GHz. But in MS website it says i7 comes with 4.2GHz, I'm confused

Its okay but battery dont last long 5-6 yrs only
