Uncooked Shrimp Chips, 500 g

These are amazing! We couldn’t be without them now and always have a pack in the cupboard. They have really improved the quality of our meals. They take minimal effort to prepare. A few tips - heat a good amount of vegetable oil in the pan, but don’t make it too hot, the crackers burn easily. When you think it’s hot enough out a small cracker in and wait until it puffs up. When it’s hot enough, put a few crackers in but be ready with a slotted spoon or something to remove them fast! They burn very quickly. I don’t tend to put many in at a time.. maybe 3/4. Sometimes I have to push them around the pan to make sure all of it has cooked. Sometimes there are hard bits left if you haven’t got your oil right. When they’re done I put them on a plate topped with a paper towel to soak up the excess oil. As they’re cooling down, the crisp up. Then they’re just like the crackers you get from a Thai takeaway. The flavour is perfect, they are a little bit spicy but I don’t mind that. They go with a variety of dishes and although they take more effort than buying these ready made crackers in the shops they are worth it for the taste. They’re also a fraction of the price of the shop bought ones. This bag lasts such a long time, gives an accompaniment to countless dinners, the portions work out really cheap. If you’re thinking about trying then go for it. They are great value for money. You won’t be disappointed.

These are very tasty Thai-style shrimp crackers, very similar to the ones you get served in Thai restaurants. One 500 g packet makes a surprisingly large amount. From my experience, you can easily get around 15–20 servings from a pack, so they work out very good value compared with buying them as a side or starter in a restaurant. They are also really convenient to have at home. They only take a few seconds to fry and puff up very quickly, so you do need to keep an eye on them to avoid burning them. They do have a bit of spice to them, but if you are specifically buying Thai shrimp crackers that is probably what you are expecting. Pros: - Very tasty and similar to restaurant-style Thai crackers - One packet makes a lot of servings - Excellent value for money - Quick and easy to fry at home - Convenient to keep in the cupboard Cons: - None I have bought these multiple times now, which probably says the most about what I think of them. They taste good, are easy to prepare and a single bag lasts a long time.

Love these,lots of flavour and quite spicy.Can be cooked in the microwave without fat but be careful as they burn easily.

Very spicy... Could not eat... had to throw out. They puffed up quite nicely. And taste (before I got assaulted with slow coming spiciness and turned into a dragon) was quite good. Strong prawn flavour. There is a lot of them. 4 stars because there is no warning in the listing that the item is this spicy. I'm used to buying the already puffed ones from the "Asian shelf" in markets and they are normally not spicy. If you are not a wuss like me you will probably like it.

Nice big bag so represent very good value for money. The crackers are quite large, compared to normal prawn crackers. Quite a few broken but only to be expected given delivery. Doesn’t make a difference though, the smaller bits cook just as well as the whole pieces. Have only used them once to pair with a homemade Massaman Curry, they are absolutely delicious and I had a very happy family.

Regular purchase Chips are brittle prone to break up in not packed correctly or handled with care

Very tasty, actually taste of shrimp and puff up very big when you fry them. Would highly recommend.

I bought this product for its high shrimp content (19%) as per description but the package indicates only 9%. In general, the higher the shrimp content, the better it tastes. I don’t know where the seller got the photo from but whatever he is selling is not what I have received. Very disappointing.

After a long time, found the prawn crackers served in Asian food restaurants. Good quality, taste. You really need to love prawn taste, or else you'll not enjoy this. They're thick, tasty and consumes less oil, you need knack to fry them, be delicate!

You can make a good portion from the 500g. Tastes good. We love it. Delivered with care in a bubblewrap and very fast. And we ordered again.

Being a coastal lad, i have lived on sea food. Tried many different brands of chips, but this one totally blows them out of water. Thick, succulent and filled with oodles of flavor. Must buy for someone who misses the juicy shrimp from home. Worthy companion to your drinks as well!
