The can opener paradox
The can opener paradox I felt compelled to draw myself away from solving legal issues and running my company to write about the humble can opener 😊 A paradox is a seemingly absurd or contradictory statement or proposition which when investigated may prove to be well founded or true. The can opener paradox is: The more you pay above or below the Culinare Magican cost the worst the can opener you get. Why is this? Can opening requires a very simple well-built engineering solution which should result in a very low-cost robust product delivered at a moderate cost. Magican have achieve this with a simple quality solution at moderate cost that works beautifully and hence cannot easily be bettered. This means that the competition must do one of two things to compete either: 1. Make a cheaper product of low quality. The problem here is that Magican are very low cost hence cheaper products can only be achieved by using very inferior materials and solutions. Or 2. Make a shiny posh looking item that looks impressive and that hence costs more and does not work reliably. It does not work reliably because the competition has devoted their resources into making the product look impressive within a price band that will be accepted by the market. Hence, they have devoted little resource or none into solving the engineering problem. Magican are the best and at the most efficient cost per unit. You don’t need to spend a lot just buy a Magican opener and put the can opener frustration into the past. All products will wear out of course especially items that cut steel as this one does. But Magician works very well and is a low cost item to replace when it does eventually wear out. I am not associated with Magican in any way. Thanks for reading me… back to work now…have a great day. It says what it does on the tin
We had one for years and we were devastated when we realised it had finally given up. Once ordered it came the next day, and it is exactly the same as the one that had been replaced. Its easy to clean, easy to use, its smooth, and it takes seconds to remove the lid. In all the years owning a magican I can confidently say that it is rust resistant.

Good but could be a bit better
Great opener but the only thing I don’t like is the top of the can comes off completely and it’s difficult to judge when the cycle of opening has finished . Also top of can is more exposed than old fashioned turn ones so can be very sharp if not ready for it . Is very smooth opener and would recommend but stand over sink when using if watery contents or smelly like tuna as can spill

Would buy again..
I've brought numerous tin openers over the years, and some quite expensive and all have stopped working or broke within months. This one was very cheap and basic and it feels cheap as well, I thought it would not work or it break easy. However I was surprised to find it lightweight, sharp and easy to use,I've used it numerous times, it's quick and easy... and I would definitely buy again if needed. I would also recommend it to anyone elderly or even if you had problems with your hands and grip. Top marks from me!!.

Works a treat
Not sure it's magic. It certainly hasn't done any card tricks or pulled any rabbits out of hats. It does take the top of cans nice and smoothly though. Bought to replace one that had finally given up the ghost after many years of service.

Excellent, smooth cutting ability. No snagging or slipping.
FINALLY! Just found this which turns out to be the exact same type I lost recently. Tried others such as Salter etc,but all were useless and overpriced. This thing is almost effortless and slick. No slipping,no sticking and snagging, just a clean cut right through the side of the tin.

Unconventional tin opener. Doesn't feel long-lasting
This tin opener feels flimsy. One of the two I ordered was not working, which makes me worry that the plastic holding the cutting wheel and the gears won’t last very long. Unlike traditional tin openers that cut the lid from the top, this one cuts around the side of the tin, just below the rim. Because of this, the paper label around the tin often gets in the way and makes it awkward to use. I have returned the faulty item and thus lost the discount I originally got which makes the cost far from convenient . The other one works OK for now, but I’m not confident about its long-term durability

Stopped working half way through opening its first can. Just clicked, and something happened so I had to throw the can away. I returned it

When my daughter was a toddler, she got her hand stuck in a can that was disposed of in the garbage. It was the scariest thing. Since then each time I open a can, I would crush the can down so that it is flat. Well, I searched for an inexpensive can opener on Amazon and found this one. It opens the can from the inside, so the top comes off completely and no sharp edges on the can or top to cut fingers. It's wonderful! It is manual, but it works for me, as I don't frequently open canned foods.

Ne marche que sur certaines boîtes, j'ai essayé sur des boîtes de nourritures pour chien, complètement inefficace, la roulette fait du surplace.
