These were recommended by a water color artist I learn from. Good quality. Would totally buy again. I did notice my 6 frayed a bit after a handful of uses, but I just plucked the couple of hairs out and it seems fine now. Definitely a good set for someone just learning water color and wants quality brushes

Love these brushes

My typical medium is pencils, but recently I've been wanting to get into watercolor and ink. After looking around, I settled on this set (as well as some individual brushes) to start out with. I'm far from a skilled painter, but I use these brushes more than others in my small collection. They hold a good amount of fluid and put the paint down wonderfully. The handle length allows for a lot of flexibility with how you hold the brushes, which is nice to experiment with. The light color of the bristles is really nice when washing them; it's easy to tell if there is still paint or ink in them so I don't accidentally contaminate my ink colors. The different sizes are great for testing out your preferences while also allowing you to do some fiber details and larger washes. I've tried a couple of other, similar brushes from subscription boxes, but I keep coming back to these because of the quality and ease of cleaning. If you're starting out, you'll want to get some other types to supplement these, but they're a solid starting point when learning the basics.

Decided to upgrade my very worn paintbrushes so I bought several packs (and a few individual ones on other Amazon pages), even though buying packs meant I ended up with a couple of duplicates they're of the type that it doesn't hurt to have duplicates as I can use them in the same session without having to clean a brush, and I worked out that if I'd bought loads individually so as to avoid duplicates then it cost a lot more! I knew Princeton has a good rep and on YouTube one of my favourite professional artists recommends them. I'm pleased with them so far, particularly the fan brush for doing tree branches in the distant background, as I now realise my old one was a bit too large. Expensive but feels like a worthwhile investment.
